It arrived about 10-days after placing my order, securely packaged and safely delivered by FedEx from GA to WA. The birdbath is perfection. Great size and color (which I would describe as a slate blue). Right depth for birds and room for a little solar fountain. The pattern in the bowl is beautiful and will help birds get a grip getting in and out. I love everything about this birdbath. The heavy weight and sturdiness are the main qualities I wanted. The height and width are substantial too, so it doesn't disappear among the flowers in my garden. An important factor is the gradual slope and depth of the bath, which is perfect for birds to walk into without being afraid of drowning! And itś also textured so itś not too slippery for the birds. A very substantial bird bath!!....Come is 2 pieces (stand and bowl) and is very hefty!!....This bird bath isn't going anywhere once you have it in place!!....We've only had it for a few days, but it looks great in the yard....We added a floating solar fountain to it and it's working well....The bowl is deep enough for the fountain but doesn't appear to be too deep for birds....There's also a design in the bowl that will make the footing easier for the birds....Looks like a great purchase at this point!! :-) ... show more

    • Solid, beautiful, not meant for heat waves
This is absolutely gorgeous and extremely well-built and solid. The bowl is very shallow, which makes it easier for birds to utilize it. Unfortunately, such shallow waters evaporate very quickly in hotter climates. The surface of the bowl gets quite hot, as well. I live in Northern California, and with temperatures averaging 85, this requires a refill about every 2 hours. Good thing I like birds so much. If you live in a hotter area, make sure to place this where it is shaded during the hotter parts of the day. ... show more

I wanted a bird bath that wouldn't be easily knocked over by wind and the thirsty creatures that frequent my yard (deer). I looked extensively and chose this for its classic lines and large, gently sloping bowl. This bird bath is exactly what I had hoped it would be. It arrived in good shape, despite its considerable bulk and weight (in two boxes). This bird bath will endure just about anything the elements throw at it for years and years. Be prepared for lots of Styrofoam in the packing, but it was very well packed indeed. Very highly recommended! ... show more

The first birdbath I ordered, the bowl came in pieces. Took a while but I received a replacement bowl, after using it outside for less then a week, it started to peel. Spoke to seller, nice guy, but does not follow through. Told me stain was applied wrong and I would get more stain to repair it. Never received!! I would NOT recommend this product. This is a solid birdbath unlike so many lightweight birdbaths out there. I wanted something that would not tip over when critters other than birds stop by. I don't know anything about casting, but I don't think this bird bath should be this crooked and flawed for the price we paid. It is heavy, so we won't have to be concerned about it tipping over on windy days. The texture, size, and depth are perfect for small birds. The color looks nice in our yard. ... show more
