The Sol de Janeiro Jelly Perfume Balm Solid Fragrance Perfume Stick in Cheirosa 68 is my favorite Sol de Jainero scent so far. It is bright and sweet and floral. I also love the compact solid fragrance stick, it is easy to take along and easy to apply. It has minimal projection, but wafts of the fragrance last for a couple of hours. The price is reasonable for the quality and scent, making it a good value. I ordered the Sol de Janeiro Jelly Perfume Balm Solid Fragrance Perfume Stick in Cheirosa 68 to add to my scent collection. I have a couple other Sol De Jainero scents in both solid and spray form, and the Cheirosa in solid form is my favorite by far. It is sweet and fruity and floral and the pink color is perfect for it. The scent doesn’t have much projection, and there is nothing in it that could be objectionable. It is perfect for springs and summer and the office. I am middle aged an find the scent fun, but my 9 year old absolutely loves it. It is perfect for the younger set or the young at heart. I love that the solid stick is super portable and nothing goes to waste, unlike sprays. I can apply it exactly where I want it and take it along to reapply whenever I want without spraying the people around me or smelling up wherever I happen to be. The stick looks clear from the side and has a pink color form the top – maybe a reflection from the bottle. It goes on smoothly, btu leaves a little bit of an oily residue that eventually absorbs. I can smell the scent for an hour or two as I move around and the scent wafts. It never had a lot of projection, but it does have some presence especially initially. I like that the scent is very stable. The layers of the scent are all there from the beginning to the end. The intensity stays about the same from application until an hour or two later when I realize I can’t smell it at all anymore. It that way it is a lot like lip gloss, in that it needs repeated application. Luckily it will easily fit in a pocket or purse along with lip gloss so it can be reapplied often.

I’ve tried quite a few scents from the Sol de Janeiro line at this point, including 40, 62, 68, 39, 59, 67, and 71, so I was really curious to see how #68 would perform in this jelly perfume balm format. The consistency is definitely unique. Even though it is called a jelly, it is not soft or bouncy at all. It has a firmer, almost solid feel and looks like a clear balm. When you swipe it on, it applies smoothly without dragging, but the texture is much more structured than expected. It is also pretty small in size, roughly half the size of a lipstick, with just over half an inch of product. Initially it can feel like there is not much there, but because each use requires so little, it ends up lasting longer than you would think. I have used it several times already and have barely made a dent in it. #68 in this formula comes off as soft, powdery, and sweet with a light touch of fruitiness. It feels airy and more delicate compared to some of the deeper or richer scents in the collection. Rather than projecting outward, it stays close to the skin, giving it a more subtle, personal feel. I like that a lot, especially since it makes it easy to reapply without worrying about it becoming overwhelming. One of the standout features is how convenient it is to carry. It slips easily into a pocket or small bag, making it ideal for travel or quick touch-ups throughout the day. I applied it in the morning and could still catch the scent on myself a few hours later, even while sitting in a restaurant around food. It does fade over time, but reapplying is quick and easy. Overall, I think it is a solid option. It is long-lasting for what it is, extremely portable, and applies cleanly without being too strong. The scent is soft and easy to wear, and since you use so little each time, it ends up feeling like a good value. I would recommend it, especially for anyone who prefers lighter, more intimate fragrances.

Scent: Cheirosa 68
This Sol de Janeiro jelly perfume balm in scent 68 is such a fun twist on traditional fragrance. It comes in a solid stick format that you twist up and swipe onto your skin, and it is meant to be used either on its own or as a base layer for other scents. The packaging feels very on brand, compact, travel friendly, and the twist-on cap is a nice touch since it stays secure in a bag without worrying about spills. The scent itself is spot on to the 68 body mist, that fruity floral mix with jasmine, ocean air, and that signature pink dragon fruit vibe. If you already love that scent, you are going to be happy with this. I actually found that the balm version lasts longer than the spray. Even a couple of hours later, I could still smell it on my wrist, which is not something I usually get from the mist alone. It works really well as a fragrance base too, especially if you like layering. One thing to note is that the formula is softer than a typical balm, so you do have to be a little careful when using it. You only want to twist up a small amount and keep it close to the base when applying. The first time I used it, I guess I twisted up too much because the jelly cracked and broke off, which was super disappointing. Since then, I have been extra careful and had no issues, but it is definitely something to be aware of. The texture has a slightly grippy, almost water resistant feel, which actually helps with longevity. It held up even after getting my hands wet, which explains why the scent sticks around so well. At $26 for 4 grams, it is in line with Sol de Janeiro pricing, and you get a lot of uses out of it. Overall, this is a really great option if you want a portable, longer lasting version of your favorite 68 scent, just go in with a light hand.
