I didn’t expect to get this many compliments on a pair of sunglasses at this price point, but here we are. The SOJOS Ocean Collection Retro Oval shades have quickly become my go-to for everyday wear. First off, the design is just cool. The oval shape has that timeless, slightly vintage vibe, but the whale shark-inspired dotted metal accents and subtle tail detail make them feel unique without being over-the-top. They’re narrow and lightweight, so they sit comfortably on my face without sliding down or squeezing behind my ears. What really sold me, though, is the eco-friendly angle. The frames are made from recycled, BPA-free plastic, and you honestly wouldn’t know it, they feel sturdy and well-made, not flimsy at all. It’s nice knowing you’re making a slightly better choice for the planet without sacrificing style. Lens quality is another big win. The polarized UV400 lenses do a great job cutting glare (especially while driving), and everything looks crisp and clear.     • Cute style, but they don't block much sun

These retro oval sunglasses are cute, and I know this is the style right now, but they aren't doing a great job of actually blocking the sun from my eyes. They sit a bit low on my nose bridge and the lenses are pretty small, so it's closer to wearing reading glasses (the type that sit a bit low on your nose) than typical sunglasses. The issue is that if I'm driving or doing something where I really need to block the sun, way too much light is getting in above the frames. So functionally, these aren't great. That said, they seem well made and they do look nice. I'm on the fence about the rating because I kind of want to give them a 3/5 for me, but at the same time, there isn't actually anything wrong with the build/quality of these, I just don't like the design, so I'm going to go with 4/5. ... show more

Highly recommend these Sojos sunglasses. I am very impressed with their product quality, their packaging, the sustainability of their materials, their environmental mission and their price point. These sunglasses are a really good quality and very fashion forward. The UV400 polarizing lenses make everything brighter without undo glare which makes them particularly effective for driving and outdoor sports. They are well constructed- should last a very long time. I'll probably lose them before I wreck them. They are lightweight, feel like nothing on, and don’t have any of those ‘inexpensive sunglasses’ pinch points. That makes them super comfortable to wear even for extended periods of time. The packaging is terrific. The glasses come boxed and are well wrapped. Also tucked in the box is a glasses case, cleaning cloth, polarization test card, mission statement from the company and cute little dolphin magnet. All made out of recycled materials. My glasses are from the Ocean Collection and are made of recycled BPA free plastic and used fishing nets, helping to keep the ocean cleaner while being safe to wear. And each pair purchased helps support the company’s cause of cleaner oceans. The best part of Sojos glasses is you can own a pair at an incredibly reasonable price point. Compared to other sunglasses of this quality, you can probably own 5 pair and still come out ahead! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these sun glasses, not just for their efficacy but also for the good that Sojos is doing for our world. ... show more
