This Women's Ultra Soft Marshmallow Wrap Robe from Softies comes packaged in a plastic bag. The robe is soft and plush to the touch, and is pleasant against bare skin. It seems to be well sewn, with no obvious construction issues. The robe has two upright pockets on the front, and a shawl style collar for extra warmth at the neck. It runs true to size, with sleeves that are long enough to arrive comfortably at the wrist of an average sized woman's arm, and a length hitting right about the average knee. The fabric color of this version is a light mottled grey. A nice feature about this robe is that it has a sewn in interior tie, which helps keep the robe from gaping open. However, the tie is made from a piece of coordinating fabric that essentially seems like a round shoelace in diameter/style. It easily tangles in the wash and upgrading that tie would measurably improve the luxe-ness of the robe. This same type of tie is also used for the two belt loops for the exterior belt, which look somewhat cheap against the overall robe and allow the belt to sag considerably. The belt is also not attached or sewn into the robe, so between that and the belt loops used, the belt slides around and has to be readjusted for every use. Finally, the tag is scratchy and I would recommend cutting it out. In terms of care, the robe can be machine washed on cold, but does need to be laid flat to dry.

I love this robe more than any robe I've ever had before. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't go all the way to the floor. Or have a hood. As I would like to fully cocoon my entire body in the cloud-like Nirvana that wearing this robe brings. It's beyond normal definitions of soft, seriously... and for the price it better be. I actually wore it while it was way to warm for it, roasting, because it was so soft I'd rather have heat stroke than be without it. If you want to keep it soft, never let it get near fabric softener, dryer sheets, or any kind of heat setting on your dryer. Instead, wash it on gentle, with regular detergent (I use normal tide, not the fancy kind with a bunch of stuff added), and dry on low or no heat. Don't fudge it and use med-low. And don't try throwing it in with a tide pod, they have fabric softener in them. This robe is a delicate creature to be loved and nurtured.
