These are just mid-weight, and not heavy. I noticed the 9oz. description AFTER buying, unfortunately. There isn't any rise to it so unless you have zero butt, they are going to pull to the back to accommodate. Also more poly than I like. My fault for not reading the description fully. The pocket lining fabric is thinner, which reduces bulk. The high poly content is fine for active kids to keep their shape and not destroy, but not as nice to lounge around in as higher cotton content sweats. ... show more

These run big. Iā€™ve bought Champion, Hanes, and Fruit of the Loom sweatpants for my kidsā€”one is currently in a size L, the other in a M. In these, you cannot go by regular boysā€™ sweatpant sizing. Theyā€™re huge compared to other brands. I am keeping the L for one of them to grow into (someday), but the medium still has a lot of room for him to grow. I had to order a S for the other kid, because heā€™s swimming in these in a M. I ordered these to go with the MJ Soffe Sweatshirts for my kids wrestling warm up gear. While the sweatshirts ran small the pants definitely run big, so order a size smaller than needed. Other than that the quality is nice, and they match color wise perfectly with the same brand sweatshirt.
