This does stay on but not onto a ponytail (you get a ponytail band and two bobbypins in the pkg) your own hair will stick out from under the clip if it's more than a couple of inches long. This doesn't clamp over a bun (unless you're ok with it hanging and flopping around, kinda hurts as it pulls that way). I found the best way is to put your own hair into a twist all the way down from a ponytail position on your head, lay it down against your head (downward) then double back up so it's in almost a figure 8 or like a rope. I do this all the time for regular elongated clips. This seems to work best for me. It's a little tricky to style the curls. Mine came with some curls having flat areas and a bald spot I can't seem to close. I'll keep working with it and use it anyway.

The claw clip is GINORMOUS....the hair sheds with the slightest movement and the grey white is actually WHITE!! So if your hair is bleached white this is not going to match at all.

The hair is great, as you can see the match to my natural color is almost perfect. I got this clip to hide some of my ombre hair from work since it's "unnatural" in color and not allowed. The clip is really sturdy, although it is plastic so I still treat it carefully. It comes with two large Bobby pins which are very helpful, but my issue is the bun is heavy. I wore it as you see here for 9 hours and I honestly couldn't wait to take the thing off everyday. On the plus side, a lot of people thought it was my real hair though.

The color is a perfect match as you can see and it latches onto my mom's hair and stays put all day with such ease. She doesn't have to keep re-adjusting it once in because of slipping down. It looks absolutely real as if it was her own hair and not like fake hair. Yes maybe she could use to play with the shape of it a little but it looks fabulous!! This hair peice is an excellent value for the money and I am coming back to the same company to buy 2 more hair clip on peices for my mom with slight difference in color for her. She is thrilled and so am I. Using the banana clip to succure the hair peice in place is an amazing idea for disabled people and the elderly, thank you, or even just people with bad shoulder pain. My mom has neck problems, shoulder problems, and has a hard time styling her hair but loves to look and feel pretty, this sure does help her do that. Thanks again.

I ordered the dark blonde for an event and am so bummed. I should have known than to order hair offline but take it from me, Don’t buy. It looks nothing color wise like the photo. It’s got dark chunky brown sections and super fake blonde sections just sewed together in an obvious fake hair kind of way. I also have average thickness of hair, and it was falling off and hanging like the clip didn’t have enough strength. The whole thing was janky. Only thing was it was surprisingly soft. Rating it 5 stars so they won’t hide my review and screw over someone like me that needed it for an event and now left with a crappy plan B.
