  • Absolute best compression socks! Worth every penny.
Size: Small-Medium Color: Grey
These are my absolute favorite compression socks!! Don't even bother with any other brands. After removed and couldn't find these,I couldn't remember the brand, and tried several others, and they were all terrible. Either not enough compression, too thin, poor quality... these ones are 1000% worth every penny! They will last a very long time, excellent support, squeeze the feet and ankles perfectly so that it's comfortable to wear the entire day, or a day and a half if you're traveling international with big time changes! They feel moisture wicking, and are a perfect, comfortable length - about knee-length. Cute colors and I love the pattern with the thin lines. You will be happy with this investment! The cheaper brands are a huge waste of time. ... show more

  • Great Compression Socks!
These are my favorite compression socks. Pricy but definitely worth it (coming from a nursing student). The other compression socks packs here on amazon cannot compare to these. They help with temperature regulation and the pain in my legs and ankles. I also have POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) so i’ve noticed they help my circulation problems a lot! I feel crappy if i’m on my feet all day and not wearing them. Apparently they’re made with wool? Usually wool irritates my skin but these don’t bother me at all! The material is supportive and high quality but not too thick where you’ll be sweating. Don’t dry them. It changes the compression level and if they’re already tight, they’ll be even tighter. Wash on delicate or they might snag. ... show more

  • Does the job best
Size: Medium-Large Color: Denim - Solid
As a new wearer of compression socks, I've tried many brands. This is, so far, the best. Not all socks labeled "medium" are created equal. The compression of the Sockwells is not so loose that it's ineffective, nor is it so tight that I break my fingernails trying to get the socks on and off. I find the toe boxes a bit too roomy and thick, but that is an insignificant issue when these socks are superior overall. ... show more

  • A good moderate compression knee-hi.
Size: Medium-Large Color: Barley
These socks arrived on time and packaging was minimal. These knee-hi socks are on the warmer and softer side. They fit my need for a true black compression knee-hi. I have several other pairs of Sockwell moderate compression knee-his and have been very pleased with them. However, I found these particular knee-his to be considerably harder to get on and off and they are longer than my other pairs. For a moderate compression knee-hi, they seem to fit tighter than others, and my legs and feet felt less fatigued after extensive walking. I subtracted one star due to there difficulty getting on an off, which may be due to the thickness of the fabric. I would recommend these knee-his for those looking for a moderate compression sock at a reasonable price. ... show more

  • The best sort of compression gear is the kind that gets used.
Size: Medium-Large Color: Barley
I’ve been wearing compression gear for over two years for autonomic issues (POTS). Other health issues complicate my ability to wear full compression hose of at least 20-30 mmHg every day like I did for the first year and a half, and I can tell. (It’s a bit cruel how frequently Ehlers-Danlos runs alongside POTS, but I digress. RIP my fingers.) Knee highs, the kind that look like normal sheer dress knee-highs, are fine, but I need a lot more cushion for my feet and usually throw a pair of wool socks on top of my compression gear even for doing nothing around the house. Sockwell has simplified this into one pair of wool blend compression socks. These things are wearable, which is the whole point. Does the moderate compression (15-20 mmHg) do as much as my usual/preferred 20-30+ mmHg? Obviously not, but it’s definitely better than nothing (which is my brain’s default when things get difficult), plus I don’t have to hunt down an additional pair of socks to cushion my poor hypermobile arthritic feet. Fit-wise, I usually wear size 10-11 women’s US/41 Euro shoes, medium width, and have, let’s say, well-developed calf muscles that occasionally make taller boot and skinny pants situations awkward. I was afraid the Sockwell M/L-size knee-highs wouldn’t clear the halfway point, but they do, and come all the way up to my knee comfortably. I will say, I often have allodynia-type pain in my legs, and that was relieved almost immediately when I tried the socks on. I also greatly appreciate the wide variety of stripes and prints, as someone who’s left sleek footwear behind and has embraced her inner Birkenstock-wearing-crone self. I’ll keep my stash of 20-30 and 30-40 mmHg full compression hose for when I begrudgingly have to leave the house, but I am converted to Sockwells for very wearable daily compression + joint comfort socks. UPDATE: there is some sizing inconsistency between colors. I have the neutral/oatmeal-ish pair, mineral blue, and black stripe Circulators. The neutral is the biggest (tallest, roomiest); the mineral blue fits about average (not quite as roomy as the neutral but still a fit); the black stripe, I keep checking to see if they’re a S/M instead of a M/L. The toe seam is stressed and the length of the sock is at least an inch shorter than my other pairs. Not sure if this is a fluke/QC issue, or if this is similar to the phenomenon of black bras being more snug than lighter ones due to the dye affecting the stretch of the material. (Yeah, I know, this is socks.) Either way, you might keep that in mind when ordering. The other women’s styles I have (white/gray and pink chevrons, high compression ones that look like Tudor tiles??) fit most like the mineral blue Circulators. (The men’s M/L is more generous all-around, although the black argyle pair I have is more snug in the calf than my women’s M/Ls while being a bit more wide in the toe.) ... show more
