Beautiful....but rubber backing doesn't grip at all on hardware floors...slips just like the 'normal' black rubber type stopper I was trying to replace. I was hoping a different, really gripping type back was being used. Beautiful solid endpin. The wood grain complements the cello. The back has a non skid surface, so it works great on carpet or smooth floor surfaces. Our cello teacher loved it so much we got her one for Christmas!
