I buy this type mirror every few years, usually in the store. The 10x magnification is for close up only which is what it is intended for. If you hold it further away, of course it gets distorted. I find the hinges lossen over 2 or 3 years and it can't be tightened so the mirror , at that point is generally useless....or the stand (being plastic) has broken off. I don't mind replacing it as it is really used a lot daily and is still cheap enough. Folds up nicely and is good for travel...not too big or not too small. ... show more

    • Nice mirror, but it would be nice if it were lighted
This mirror is regular on one side, and magnified on the other. The magnification, at 10X, is good. The handle swings out or flat for storage, and has a hole in the end to hang it. It is slightly stiff to allow for using it on a table or countertop in an upright position. I wish this mirror was lighted. I tried to find one that was without success. I think it would make it easier to see. The mirror isn't as big as I imagined it would be. Double check the size you want. This is made in communist China. ... show more

    • 10x magnification not clear
The mirror was nice looking, well packaged and the regular magnificationside of the mirror was fine. I plan to return the mirror, however, because the 10x magnification was not clear. It seemed to be more like a 15x or more.

This is a pretty nice mirror, similar to one that you would find in IKEA. It is double-sided, light, and compact. It's the perfect size to put between layers on your clothes in your suitcase but isn't too small and you can see your full face in it. The magnifying side is really useful for doing things like your eyebrows so you don't need to lean in super close to see the full details. ... show more
