have to download from Microsoft website to load contents of the provided disk. The disk says USB is not compatible but has a USB port on the back. The only included cord is a USB. This item should be ready out of the box instead of having to program everything. It would be better if an example spreadsheet was already loaded on the disk and keys set up as examples so the user can see how everything is formatted. User needs to set BAUD rates and other parameters. For $200 it should be set up so an average laptop can send and receive data. I'm sorry I bought this. ... show more

Wish I would have read the reviews before buying. The instruction book is the worst to try and understand and follow. Took hours for us to try and set it up and still don't have it working the right way. Cheap enough but not for us

Before choosing this, I studied many registers, which is not an error. I have to read the manual to set it up according to my requirements. Once set up, employees can easily access and use it. In terms of price, I like it very much.
