The Griffin birch wood 14-inch snare drum is no exception. With a three-ply birch wood shell and a large vent, youll get a full sound with emphasis on the lows and highs and a rounded mid-range. Great for rock bands, acoustic shows, concert, church drummers, or school performances as a marching snare drum, it wont let you down.
- CUSTOM GRAPHIC "THE LOUD VENT" LIMITED EDDITION TO A 1,000 PRODUCTION RUN: Heres your chance to get a limited-edition graphic on a great sounding drum that will stick out and make your set look as unique as your style. The red and chrome finish hardware and the custom eye-catching graphic is sure to turn heads.
- CLASS-LEADING SNARE THROW OFF: Equipped with a top-notch, smooth and quiet snare strainer that promises flawless operation and a fluid movement every time, this drum throw-off will allow you to easily tighten, loosen or mute the snares according to your preference, all without failing or locking up! Specifications: Snare wire: 12 strands. Hardware finish: Chrome. Gross weight: 6 pounds.
- MORE TUNING LUGS FOR YOUR SNARE HEAD CREATING EXCELLENT SOUND: The percussion hardware includes a drum key, as well as eight (8) very durable tuning lugs that promise a much more stable and higher quality sound compared to six lug drums, allowing you to achieve excellent sound in even the lowest tuning option.
- INSTALLED SNARE BEDS: Snare beds are now carved in the drum shell for a tighter snare sound. Curved depressions are cut opposite each other into the bottom bearing edge of the drum, parallel to the throw-off and butt plate. The installed snare beds are very popular with drummers as many drummers like a reduction of snare buzz and rattle. This makes all the snare drum snares rest flush alongside the bottom of the drum head.

Decent for the price !
Color: Regular Vents
Good sounding drum , nice to get a real bitch shell for this cheap , hardware and all isn’t to bad. Only thing is the skins are sooo thin and kind of cheap , once you change them and tune it , this drum sounds excellent!

Really like this vented snare.
Color: Oversize Vents
I put a Evans genera dry, a Evans snare side 300, & a Puresound Equalizer snare wire on it. Tuned it on the higher side. Put a evans e ring on top to control the ring a little bit. Getting a loud thick crack from it. Sounds good for rock and doom/sludge metal.

Cool company
Color: Regular Vents
So I ordered this for my son for Christmas. He is just started learning to play at school. So thought I would get him a brand new drum for home. This drum looks great and sounds great. What shocked me is geek stands sent me a handwritten note with it saying thank you. so to them I say your welcome and thank you for a great sounding and cool looking drum. Will be using them for future purchases.

Nice....but
Color: Regular Vents
It does have some cheap parts on it. I replaced the heads and snare wire. The snare wire knob does not turn. I have to open it all the way and then adjust the tension. For a comoany that states it tests each drum, not sure how that was missed in QC. Value drum that looks nice
