I snipped those...seam ripper or small pointed manicure type scissors worked...and now it is just a lamb "pillow" with dotted ears and feet. The child should never know. I will be adding them to my shoe box gifts. I am looking for stuffed toy lambs often, so this will work. The overall workmanship seems good, and the size is about right for a shoe box gift, leaving room for other items. I would call the age range, as with most stuffed animal toys, flexible. My Sister collects penguins and I remember fond memories of us going to Baskin Robbins as kids. So when this went on sale couldn't resist getting it. She will be surprised with it and think she'll love it. Was a little bigger than I expected it to be but still a nice size.
