I wore this hat for the Kentucky Derby and LOVED it. I got tons of compliments BUT I did not like the party hat string so I stuck it up in the hat and I glued a hair clip onto the brim and it worked like a charm! great purchase imo.

I was not aware this is attached by a string around your neck. I bought it to go with my Halloween costume, on a wig and have no desire to use the strings. But it is fixable!! Cut the strings off and glue a large enough metal hair clip to the inside of the hat and it's just fine. The hat is really pretty and goes perfect with my outfit! ... show more

It was my mistake when purchasing this hat. I did realize that this had a rubber band type thingy instead of a headband, and it didn't stay on for the 5 mile race I needed it for. Still, it's super cute, and when I get around to it I'm putting a headband on this, and then it will be perfect!

Also, there is an elastic string/band attached to it so you can put it on your head.You may need to figure out some other way to fasten it to your head if you don't want the string under your chin. ... show more

I like the hat, only thing is I didnt know it was held on your head with a elastic band. I thought it was a head band that sat on your head. The elastic band is kinda awkward with doing your hear with a costume. You have to hide the band behind or under your hair somehow...
