  • Remote Charging Made easy.
I took one of these to Puerto Rico with me because I wasn't really sure that the car that I would be driving had a working 12v lighter plug. Turns out it didn't and I needed to 2 hrs of flight time every day. This charger worked perfectly and with 3 batteries I had all of the capacity that I needed. In fact one day I flew a total of 165 minutes without an issue, or worry about running out of battery power. With the cost of each extra battery at 150.00 purchasing this charger made great economic sense and the ability to charge 2 batteries at once was awesome, although I never really needed them both charged. Since trying it out I ordered 6 more (Prime Day Special 103.00) And will likely order more to give others on my team one. ... show more

  • Fly more for less money!!
The cost of one of these holds its value compared to the price of 1 mavic battery. I do a lot of remote 3d mapping which is why I can’t always run home to charge and using the 12v in the car does only one battery at a time which is slow!! This aux battery pack charges 2 at the same time which is already a step up from Dji Hub that only does one at a time. I am able to get 3-4 charges out of one pack with a remote transmitter top off. Weighing just over 3 lbs each, I tossed three of these in my pack, hiked 10 miles and managed to map remotely all afternoon. I use these all the time on small jobs as well. Just an easy way to never have to worry about a dead battery. The drone battery, the transmitter battery, or the iPhone. If you want to fly all day, this is the most affordable option. Literally….all day. I did 18 flights in one day with my mavic 2 dual without worrying about an outlet and sleeping in a tent. That was even allowing the batteries plenty of time to cool off between uses. I will close here and leave you with a quote. “Nuff said” Frank ‘Ramon’ Catton ... show more

  • Excellent battery pack
For its cost, I was able to get 2 for the same price as 2 mavic 2 pro batteries. I have used them for work where I need 17 batteries to fly a mission but only have 9 to work with. Instead of buying extra batteries buying these where a must! It can charge 2 batteries simultaneously without issue. I have even charged 1 while flying another and plugged the second in later without issue. They seem to charge at the same speed as the normal charger. However, based on capacity, these only have enough to charge 2 and a half batteries from low to full charge. Based on my experience two and a half is about all they can do. I have gotten three and a half before, but that was with batteries at about 30%. 2 and a half is all this can reliably do. That being said, 2 and a half extra batteries for half the cost of 2 new batteries is still quite the deal. ... show more

  • When it works, it's great
Update 4/2022: I do a lot of real estate photography. Had more properties scheduled today than my 4 batteries could cover, so took this along to recharge a battery to get the last property done. Today happened to be a heatwave, in the high 90s. This unit never kicked on. I'm guessing it was too hot. I know the unit has overheat protection but if it can't charge when the outside temperature is in the 90s, this is basically useless junk for half the year in LA. Buy a car charger instead. Original: When the unit functions as normal, it's great. Unfortunately it mostly seems to take 10-15 minutes of screwing around with what is laughingly called a 'power button' to get the unit to work. Even with the batteries having sat around cold all night, the unit just won't function consistently. Woke up yesterday realizing I needed to take one more battery just to make sure I had enough juice for the day. Grabbed this charger, walked down to the car, intending to plop a battery in and get it charging on the way to the first job. Fifteen minutes or so screwing around with it in the trunk before I left and while sitting at stop lights on the way to the first job did nothing. I gave up. An hour later, back in the car, I tried again and it decided to function. At that point the battery full charged and I was covered for the day. Unfortunately it seems to do this every one of the few times I've needed it. Reached out to Smatree for support as the unit is just under six months old at this point. ... show more

  • Keeps my drones flying
I use this each time I fly my drones. It is my go-to charger. However, one drawback to this charger is the initial check to see if the battery is ready to charge. If the battery is still warm from use, the charger stops. This is good, however, it does not keep checking back. You have to make the charger recheck until it is ready to charge. Then the charger starts and works great, until under 25% remaining. At this point it will not charge a single battery, but I can use the USB to the drone controller, which is how I use it now. There will be a point in charging the batteries, if the charger gets below a certain point it will not charge the battery and will stop charging the battery partially. Otherwise I can rely on this and love this charger over the dronex I also use. ... show more

  • It works like magic, i.e., sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
In the film Little Big Man, Old Lodge Poles asks the Grandfather of All Things to grant him his old power to make things happen, because he wants to pass on into the next world. When it doesn't happen, and he says "Well, sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn't." This device is like that, sometimes it charges my batteries, sometimes it doesn't, and I have yet to figure out how to make it work reliably. It seems to work best when I put a single battery in the left bay, and then click the button on the right side of the device. Then I can put the other battery in, and it will start charging too. But sometimes the second battery doesn't charge all the way. I don't know why! Because it's unreliable, I gave it 3 stars, but when it works, it's invaluable, so I couldn't give it fewer stars. If I knew how to make it work every time (and of course I follow the instructions every time, they're very simple), then I would give it 5 stars. ... show more
