I am kinda like Mr Pitt when it comes to socks, they have to be just right. For years, I had been buying Dickies socks to wear because they were relatively thick and comfortable. However, they just do not last. Holes would appear on the bottom within a few short weeks. Fed up with constantly buying socks, decided to try these. At $25 a pop, they would have to last roughly 4 times as long as the Dickies to be of equal value AND be comfortable. Well, they are unbelievably comfortable and appear that they will have longevity. I was little concerned that they may be too tight on the arch but they fit like a second skin. Soft, warm and thick as I do not wear shoes in the house so they kinda function like a slipper. One can tell by feeling the fabric that they are made to last. They somehow keep my feet toasty warm with no sweaty feet. The only downside I can see is they may be a tight fit in your shoes due to the thickness so keep that in mind. The socks have a two year guarantee so time will tell if they live up to that. Assuming they do, they are worth the price and your feet will thank you... Well, it has been over two years now and these socks have held up remarkably well even considering the torture I put them through. The outside integrity shows no signs of wear what so ever. The inside is beginning to show wear but again, not bad for what they have been through. I cannot recommend these enough, they are the best socks that I am aware of, by far.

I have worn these socks constantly as slippers for years now. I have 4 or 5 pairs that I use on rotation. They are extremely soft, cushiony, warm and durable! I have yet to find a true pair of slippers that are better. The only drawback is they are very thick so not very practical to wear under a pair of well fitting shoes. Regardless, I love them and they are well worth the price! Make a great Christmas gift (especially the red!). Men and women's sizes seem to fit the same.

I truly live in these socks - I’m mostly homebound due to health, so I wear these day and night. My feet have been cold as long as I can remember, especially at night. These are comfortable and hardy, last years. I have yet to wear a pair through and I keep getting another pair periodically to keep them all happy.

These are just what you need if you want a pair of high quality, thick, warm, wool socks. Nature cannot be beat, and real wool beats all of the alternatives for legit warmth in cold weather. The relatively high price is justified. These are thick socks and will require shoes or boots a size up. And while these should hold up just fine with machine washing, I do not recommend putting them in the dryer, as my experience is that that’s a quick way to shrink your expensive wool socks.

Smartwool socks are the best sock I have ever worn. I purchased some 20 years ago and they are still wearable. The sock is comfortable and keep your feet warm even wet. You can not go wrong with this sock.

I am a working cowboy and wear boots all day every day. I find these to be the most comfortable and durable socks I've found. Don't worry about them being wool -- they are not itchy at all. I always turn them inside out to launder, as instructed. Slightly oversize -- I wear a 10.5 boot; but medium socks. You get what you pay for with these socks.

Brought 2 pairs to see the northern lights. Last day I didn’t wear them and nearly froze. My feet were warm and dry in the cold and bitter wind on the days I wore these socks! Highly recommend!
