OMG I love this dress! Well made, beautiful, and the fit is just right. I got this for my pup's 2nd birthday party, which will be a quinceanera theme. The material and design are perfect for the occasion. The XL fit my pup just right. She's 13 lbs. and about 13 inches from neck to tail. I wanted the dress to be a little long on her to resemble a formal gown. LOL Size XL accomplished that perfectly! It's long enough to have that "long dress" look, but short enough for her to run around in it without dragging it all over the floor. The top part is a shiny, satin material with snap-close buttons on the chest. Normally I'm not a fan of the snap buttons on dresses, but these buttons blend well with the dress. The buttons also came in handy to get the dress on and off because there is not much stretch to the satin material. I had considered getting the Large size, which would have fit her lengthwise, but am so glad I went with XL because the material has very little give so a smaller size would have been too tight. The skirt fluffs out nicely and has some sparkle to it. Thankfully the sparkle s not glitter, so it won't get all over the place. It's just enough to give the pictures a little extra pop of light. I got both the pink and purple versions of this dress. Not sure which one she will up wearing, but one thing is for sure: She's gong to look FABULOUS at her birthday party! ... show more

This dress is beautiful. I was careful and read many reviews and most all said size up and that is true. The dog in the picture is a Maltese Shih Tzu mix that weights 9.5 pounds. The size large is what she is wearing and it firs her prefectly. She has shorter body than my full blooded Tzu's but thicker around. I also bout me other 2 dogs this dress in pink and they way 10 pounds even and 10.9 pounds. I also got them a large and the large fit them prefectly as well. The dress is well made, hey wore all day, played, went outside to potty, did zoomies and rolled around on top of each other during play and the dresses still look like new.
