  • Interesting projects to teach basic skills.
Well written, and very easy to understand. The projects vary in usefulness, but each is used to teach a specific skill. Great book for beginning turners...

  • Some nice turning projects to help you develop skills.
I had the honor of meeting Bonnie Cline recently, and bought this book to commemorate that. Bonnie was a pioneer being one of the first women to teach and write woodturning on a national scale. I learned to turn in order to make furniture parts and an no master by any means, so I found this book interesting in learning some new techniques and tips. Leanring stuff like this in the context of a project is always bette rthan as stand-alone directions, and this book delivers that. ... show more

  • Practical, step by step instructions
I've bought several woodturning books and this is among the best. I especially like the color photographs that accompany the instructions. This book is the first that has spelled out in detail the procedure for "chattering" your work and the first that has comprehensive instructions for producing small projects. Well done. ... show more

  • Disapointed
This is the same book as the previous one with just a different cover. I assumed I was getting the next step up. But what I received was a different book cover.

  • Five Stars
A must for those woodturners interested in moving beyond bowls. Projects are interesting and well explained.
