So far, my kid is really happy with this desk! It offers tons of storage space underneath, plus it comes with a shelf and hanging hooks for headphones and other accessories, which is a great bonus. The desk seems sturdy and fit well in their space. They’re in college, and their apartment isn’t the best, so in the picture, one side of the desk doesn’t seem perfectly aligned with the other. However, I think that’s more due to the uneven floors rather than the desk itself. This desk took me about 40 minutes to assemble including unboxing and staging. The instructions were well done and easy to follow. There were only two steps during the process that I had to back up and redo because I hadn't paid attention to orientation. One included the back lower bar, you need to make sure the hole in the center is facing the back, and the other step was putting the table top on, you need to pay attention that you orient the top so that the area over the paper tray doesn't have any screw holes above it. The only area that was slightly trickier to assemble was the paper tray under the desk top--just getting all four screws centered while balancing it in place took slightly longer, but not bad and I was pleased that all the screw holes lined up well. Other than that, it was quite easy to put together and very sturdy when I was done. As far as design, it's basic but pleasant, if not a bit boxy looking. The tabletop and legs are a thinner design but it is still very solid. It's very functional as a desk and you can fit two student chairs side by side, making it great for homeschool. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and it took me more than an hour to put everything together. But it was worth it. The quality is impressive. I really like how the L-shaped design makes great use of corner space. The big main table provides plenty of room for a computer, and my son has a lot of available space left to do his homework too. The extra small desk is perfect for school accessories. This small desk is flexible desk and easy to move around. The non-wheeled desk stays as the main workspace.. I'm giving this desk 5 stars because it honestly deserves all 5. Packaged well. Solid construction. Weighs a lot more than I expected, so maybe its actually real wood. Clear and simple instructions. They recommend 2 people put it together, I did it alone without a problem. Tip if you're alone, screw in the 4 corners when you get to the top board. Then the center ones line up for you. The price. $74 on sale. I can't understand that price. Ironically I wouldn't second guess $60. I know that isn't a huge difference but I'm still hesitant to say it's worth $74. End result is that I'm happy with it. It is an exact fit to turn a bedroom closet into a study station. And that's what I wanted. I have a 1/2" clearance. Couldn't have gotten closer without going custom. Honestly think this will still be in in use a year from now. ... show more

I use it for my writing desk and since it's open underneath I keep plastic drawer storage containers for my ink, caligraphy, pens, nibs, and tattoo supplies. Even with all that and the lights I have on the desk I'm able to comfortably fit my chair in a nice writing spot.
