We move to a new apartment this September so I wanna throw all my old bed stuff and buy some new ones. The first rule I choose for a pillow is SOFT. I have a long history of neck and shoulder pain so if I use a hard pillow my neck will become stiff and pain in the next day. This pillow came very fast and it arrived on the day we moved. When I receive these pillows, they are safely loaded in a vacuum pack so I can use them on the same day, and no need for any other clean procedure. It's soft but still has good support for your head. It may not be very puffy on the first day you set them out, but after 3-4 days I found it "recovered" to a height that is as long as my palm. I’m used to fussing with my pillows for a good 10 minutes trying to get enough support as a side-sleeper, but when my head rested on these pillows, I did not have to move at all. I was instantly comfortable. I’m very pleased! Note that I waited 2 days for them to fluff up on their own (per instructions) before using them. (Two-three days without use once out of the vacuum-sealed packaging.) DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP! Otherwise you might wonder why they look so thin compared to the pictures. I bought these along with some down pillows because I wanted to feel the difference. These pillows are loftier than the down pillows and aren't as squishy as them. They feel supportive, but not hard, which I like. They seem to be well made. I haven't noticed any special cooling effect, but they don't cause my head to sweat. I'm glad I bought these as they will give me an alternative to my down pillow when I want something different or added support while I sleep. Got these to replace two pillows that I had since childhood. Went from two flat pillows to these form ones. My old ones were “extra firm” but after years of use, it would take three or four of them to match up to just one of these firm pillows. Very nice and fit into my queen pillowcases snug. So, I initially blasted these pillows because they appeared to be flat. I had never purchased pillows online before (with the exclusion of that one time I made the mistake of buying garbage My Pillows) and every other pillow I have ever purchased in a department store or big box store was ready to go. These pillows come vacuum-sealed and compressed, and unfortunately, without instructions. I only discovered that you have to fluff them by checking out another listing on Amazon for similar pillows that was decent enough to explain that you had to fluff them and how to do it. After an hour, they’re pretty well fluffed up and I imagine that they’ll be even better by the morning. Taking a star off for not including instructions or being clear in the listing. ... show more

These pillows are very soft and comfortable. The two sides of the pillows are different: One side is smooth and soft, and the other side has more texture. You can use whichever side you prefer.
