Bought it to try it out/test it on my mule engine for derby car. Very disappointed in it, fired it up and surprisingly it runs but no chop at all; sounds like it’s a stock 5.3…. Cam isn’t what they advertise it to be as for chop/stage 2 cam, I heard old RV cams chop lil more than this thing does. Had to buy some added hardware as some fasteners were a lil different than the factory ones. I’m however going to be testing more to see how much abuse/rpm it can handle rpm in a derby car with everything included in kit to see what it does. Update: surprisingly the stuff held up alright in the derby car so far, engine felt like a stock junkyard engine though power-wise and I didn’t fell any noticeable difference between running same engine stock vs throwing this kit into it for testing so it’s definitely not no stage 2. The engine still runs and hasn’t blown up (yet) but the oil pressure did dropped down to 25psi vs the 50-60ish it was originally at when started (assuming oil pump isn’t the best) & the head gaskets are leaking so far off the physical inspection without tearing engine back apart. I’ll be tearing engine down as soon as I can to see how the lifters/cam/etc look and see why oil pressure dropped and why head gaskets are leaking. ... show more

For the price it runs but lots of valve noise in my 6.0 and a spring broke. Just glad it didn’t drop a valve. Get what you pay for cheap quality.

Just got done with the job a week ago got it tuned and the spring broke and the valve went through the block. The tuner people said they were cheap parts and go through Texas speedway to get the parts they are more expensive but this just turned into a bigger job that I should have had to do all because the spring broke and the valve went through the block! JUNK!!!! ... show more
