This paddle is my go-to paddle. It has a great sweet spot for spin and dinking. Great for a beginner and the quality is good.

As shown, works well and it easy to use. Would say I wish the handle was wrapped in something other than white. The white wrapping does get dirty even though I play with clean hands every time.

Changed to 4 star review. Problem this paddle has is with outdoor pickleballs. Performs great on indoor balls though. Worth the price. The paddle feels and plays like a cheap plastic paddle. I was very disappointed. Tends to pop the ball up high unless dinking with great care and control. Not as good as my $40 Walmart paddle. Probably the worst that Selkirk has to offer. ... show more

    • Good Paddle - Bad Tape Color
I’m a beginner and have been playing with this paddle about ten hours/wk for the last seven weeks. It feels good in my hand, doesn’t stress my arm or elbow and I can’t blame miss-hits on anything other than operator error. The only complaint I have with this paddle is the white handle tape. It always looks a bit dingy with just indoor play. If I get around to changing the tape, I’ll use black next time - purely for aesthetics. It’s a good paddle, doesn’t break the bank and the purple is pretty! If you want a “better paddle” but don’t want to commit a car payment for it, this paddle is a great choice. ... show more

This is the perfect paddle for someone that wants to have control of the ball, but isn't the most advanced player. I bought one for myself and my wife, and we are new to pickle ball, and it was much better than the rentals we were using at our gym. Very noticeable difference.
