They feel really good quality, not scared to hit the ball with power and to receive the ball when hit hard. I purchased these on Prime Day after a little research online, wanting an OK kit but nothing crazy. These are now relegated to friends, but are a great choice for starters. Pros: -Play decent, as a newer player these are way better than wood, but you probably won't need much more than this - includes a bag which is OK quality - design is nice, grips are comfortable - great as spares for friends when you graduate to better paddles - good way to try pickleball without spending a fortune and deciding you don't enjoy it Cons: - Bag is OK, eventually you will want to replace - The balls are junk - Once you have played for a few months and try a nicer paddle, you will no longer use them I would recommend these to beginners looking for a set to get started, or players that want spares they won't get upset when they get scraped the ground. ... show more

We just started playing pickle ball and learned on heavy old paddles which make these seem like pro quality. LOL. These are not the ones that our instructor recommended, but they are comparable in quality but slightly cheaper. We love that they are light weight, the handle grips are comfortable and they brightly colored. So far we are delighted. They seem well made and loved that the bag and balls were included as a set. We bought these to try out pickleball just as a fun hobby. These have been perfect for us. They're great for beginners to try out pickleball. We're not active in the pickleball community. We just go to the park on the weekends and play for fun. I'm glad we bought this set.

I had hit a couple of balls around and decided that I wanted to get a paddle for myself. Spent time in sporting goods stores looking at paddles and reading online reviews. As a beginner, I didn't want to get gear that was too expensive or something that a beginner would outgrow. Nothing in the brick and mortar stores seemed to fit my requirement. Had read about Selkirk in the online reviews, and when I saw the Selkirk set on Amazon of two paddles, balls, and carry bag for the price of one of the paddles at the sporting goods store, I made the buy. Very happy with the set, the paddles have a bit longer handles than many and the finish on the paddle face has some "bite". The carry bag is very nice too, fits the paddles and balls and some room for other things too. No remorse on the buy at all - get a set for yourself if you are looking for beginner gear. ... show more
