My daughter is in several different school bands one of which is being marching band this is her marching band flute it matches her school colors and his durable enough to withstand the torment of these kids put these instruments. Although this is a value flute, the built quality and tone range rivals the lower end Yamaha and Pearl brand student fluted. They have several color variations and come with so many accessories your student only will need the sheet music and love to play. After about 3 years the purple started to rub off a bit but still sounded just as good as the day we bought it and it’s so affordable we just replace it with a new one. ... show more

This is the second sky flute I have owned. My daughter used the first one for four years of middle school band. Bought the new one this year instead of replacing pads on the old one. Was actually 100.00 cheaper than replacing the pads!! Its not the greatest quality but the band director was so impressed he bought three of them for extras to keep in case someone forgot theirs. ... show more

    • Pretty flute but wouldn't fit together well.
This flute is really pretty (I bought the red one). I bought it for my daughter to use in pep band. Sadly, it wouldn't go together properly. She couldn't get the foot joint in all the way, and the head joint was too loose. I have opted to return this.

LOVE this flute! Been playing for several years and I will say that this flute is better than I expected. ***Pros: color is AMAZING, sound quality is very good, FAST shipping, and great customer service. ***Cons: you get what you pay for. I can tell that it is a lower quality instrument, but as long as you are careful it should last a while. Just don't bang it around or scratch it. Happy customer! :-) ... show more
