The set includes everything you need to make some pottery pieces. However, it is really a toy and not great if you are looking for a more professional tool. It is small so you would need to really prepare your space to be comfortable if you are an adult. Make sure you line everything before playing because you will make a mess. The paint brushes are also kind of crappy. For a starter kits, it has everything for someone who is curious about the craft to get started.

Not a professional pottery wheel by a long shot, but decent for a child. I would say this is for kids 9 and up. My granddaughter just turned 9 and is enjoying creating with this set. It comes with all the basic supplies needed for an introduction to making pottery. I have no experience making pottery and neither does my granddaughter but together we are trying and so far have made nothing but a mess but we are learning and having fun. I have no interest in learning how to be a professional pottery artist but if your child does well this may be what motivates them to continue learning how to make pottery.

Finding a real potter tool to make pots is hard but this play kid is good to give kids exposure on how the overall mechanism works. The tool is not powerful enough to make professional looking pots but is good enough for kids to learn the tool. My 9 year old daughter and her friend loved this set!

This is a solid entry level set for beginners between 9 and 13 years old. It seems to be durable and is nor iverly loud. Comes with lots of additions to make it a fun experience for the kiddos. Would make a great gift. 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend.
