For the price ($124) the tools are a real value. They have performed admirably for household tasks. The drill and drivers have decent power and have good battery life. I even get to use the torch light when I take my daughter to the parks in the evening. The magnets on the torch come in handy for mounting. But the caveat is that they are older models and are NOT BRUSHLESS. SKIL website tells that All powercore20 tools are brushless. Thats not true. The 2018 models (the ones in this set) are brushed. The brushless sets are significantly more powerfull. For example, the driver in this set has a torque of 1100 lbin. whereas the brushless ones have 1800 lbin. But for DIY household work I think this set should suffice. ... show more

These are great tools. Skil has really brought their A game. I will choose these over Ryobi any day on a consumer/Prosumer level. All the tools have performed very well considering their price point. The only thing I wish was a little better was the drill. It has just enough torque to turn ship auger bits. It seems to do 1/2" ok as long as the battery is fully charged. It struggles with anything bigger. In it's defense it is a small drill. I would say the hammer drill would do better. ... show more

I originally purchased these tools to use on some side projects that would have cost me 3x the amount spent to have someone else do them. I was amazed at the performance. I built an entire fence, used 1/4 of one battery. The drill is powerful enough that when I would hit dense wood, instead of binding up, it’s powerful enough to snap the heads off of the bits. The reciprocating saw has chewed through everything I have put it up against, including a tree with a 6 inch trunk. The flashlight is nice and bright. I haven’t had a chance to play with the impact yet, but I have no doubt it will exceed my expectations as well. Highly recommended. ... show more

Thus far I have only used the sawzall, but if this is a preview to what is to come with the rest I am definitely impressed. I cut down some small trees that I didn't want. The power was flawless. It cut through the limbs like a hot knife through butter. The battery lasted very well. I was able to use it for two trees, and quite a few bushes. This is great for just about anything and everything around the home. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The only drawback which I knew going in, is that it does not contain any kind of a carrying case. (That was something that the competition did have.) There are a lot of pieces that could be contained in a sturdy canvas or hard shell case. But I'm sure that would have driven the price up. this I is the best power tools you can buy i bought this for fathers day he loved great quality batteries last longer im not going to lie is expensive but if you want to do great job on you duty in home or fixing your costumer home improvements this is the best one he used the drill most time so this batteries last longer than I thought so you don't have to buy another power tools again in till 5 or 10 years ... show more

Fragile Drill Bits. If you're looking for fragile drill bits that break off and wear out easily, choose these. If not, look elsewhere. I'm not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from. Maybe my drill bits came from another factory in China....I don't know. Every single one of the smaller bits are so fragile, they cannot drill through 1/4 inch piece of wood without breaking off. The concrete bits are worthless as they don't really work. I guess if you need to punch a hole through some construction paper....these might be good....other than that...look elsewhere. ... show more

This set is a low price, so your expectations should not be too high. These bits work. The drills get dull if given some tougher tasks, but that's what you get at this price point. For someone who does the odd job or likes to have a set like this thrown in the back of the truck for using in a pinch, this is a good comprehensive set. The masonry bits are somewhat hopeless (single use), but you shouldn't buy a set like this for that application. A plus is that it has a few Torx and hex sizes that aren't seen in other sets. ... show more
