    • Very nice tree hooks
I went far too long without this while using my climber. Now that I have a saddle setup, this is an absolutely necessary accessory. The hooks are solid and coated to reduce noise. The strap is solid and easy to use. Overall I am very happy with this for holding my pack and other items while in the tree. Somebody else reviewed this and is using it in their car for some reason, which I would highly advise you don't because there are small spikes on the back that bite into the tree (hence they'll bite into your car seats lol). The only downside is one I share with another reviewer...the hooks are hard to move around once you have it on the tree. However, it's not impossible, especially if you strap it loosely in place first and then move the hooks before tightening it or putting any weight on it. However, that's the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, as otherwise, this is an excellent setup. ... show more

I like this tree strap, though I’m not necessarily planning to use it for its intended purpose. My idea is more for camping organization. I like to have regularly accessed items quickly accessible and organized. These seems like it will handle anything I plan to hang from it, and definitely seems sturdy enough to handle heavier equipment like bow accessories (I’m also a bow hunter). I bought this for my car seat to hold bags and other handled items securely. It doesn't really work there, so I might try my back seat instead. Will update if it works. But, having said that, it's incredible well made! The hooks are extremely substantial, and the strap is heavy-duty and locks into place. I think this would work great for its intended application, and hopefully it'll work for mine. Edit: I moved it to my back seat. I put a net over the single seat, so I had to fit this one around the other seat + center console. It BARELY fit. I had to tighten the strap with my Kleins, but it worked. And it looks great, in my opinion! The hooks lie flat against the seat, which feels and looks better to me. Can't wait to use this whilst traveling to secure my bags and make it easier and faster to get everything out of the car. I'm not saying this will hold the bags up (RIP car seat), but it will suspend the shoulder straps and keep everything tidy (I hope). I do expect that it will hold lighter-weight grocery bags.     • Quieter than I expected.
Overall this is ok for me. If I'm being completely honest, if this wasn't a vine item I would have ordered one that has the Tethered HYS Strap design. Once you have this set up you can't move the hooks around the tree, so you better have a real good idea of how far apart you want the hooks, and where your gear is going to hang relative to shooting position. The hooks have barbs on the back to grip the tree, so it doesn't take much tension to secure them in place. I was impressed by how quiet it is, virtually zero metal clinking noise. It is lighter than I expected as well. If you're trying to pinch pennies then go for it, but if you want something more forgiving once you're in a tree, then go with a strap that has loops. ... show more

This is a heavy-duty hunting hanger that has metal hangers with spikes on the back side. It makes it very secure. It's easy to snap on to a tree. It holds my back pack, gun and any extra gear.

This strap hanger will work fine for you bow, but not so well for your cross bow. It's stout enough, and the hooks are deep enough to hang a bow cam on. But the hooks are a bit shallow and the strap is a bit small for a crossbow to hang from. I wouldn't see this as a bad thing, in that it coils up smaller and tighter for your pack carry. So if your hunting with a bow you can use the smaller/lighter hook and strap. The coated hooks are a nice addition. ... show more
