I suffer from neuropathy of the feet and lyphnema (sp?) in both legs due to shock from spinal surgery last August. My left foot is always swollen and my right foot swells up during the day. I had heard how easy Sketchers are to put on and ordered one pair to check them out. I have never had such comfortable shoes and immediately ordered more in different colors. I highly recommend them for anyone with foot problems and will continue to buy more. I always ordered shoes in medium width but thought with the swelling it would be better to order them in wide width. It was a good choice. Not only is the top of the shoes flexible enough to stretch as my feet expand but also the soles are cushioned enough to make each step comfortable. Thank you for finally making a shoe that is pain free (with the exception of the occasional flare up of the neuropathy which is NOT caused by the shoe).

I had an idea of what it would be like. It's definitely breathable and gelly. I was not expecting my feet to be sliding around though. Socks are advisable and these take a bit of getting used to because they're gel and squishy. Be careful about walking outside with these in the summer. It is 115+ degrees in AZ with 120+ concrete and pavement temps. As always, softer soles need to be cared for. I'd get this again maybe in a smaller size.

I got these a few years ago--I'd wear them on my morning walks. They did fray in the heel, so you might want to wear thicker socks when that happens. I got rid of my old pair when a podiatrist told me to wear Clarks, Vionic, and Hokas. I really regretted tossing out these shoes, though. Before my next trip overseas, I read up on recommended walking shoes, and these were listed. I got a new pair, and am SO glad I did. These are also machine washable, and the padding in the sole is really thick and comfortable--like walking on clouds. I only marked it down to a 4 because the heel wore down on my old pair (giving me a blister)--if that happens with these, I will try to fix the hole.

I originally ordered my size 8.5 wide. I sent back and reordered a 8 wide. Perfect fit so for me a half a size to big. My other skechers are all 8.5 wide and fit perfectly this one just a little to big. The shoe is comfortable and I really think they look just fine. They will good with dress slacks,a skirt ,dress or whatever they work for me. If your looking for comfort at a decent price this is a win. I only buy skechers now due to the comfort and I can always find a wide width.

New 8.5 New Navy Scetchers joy and 2 of my many Old Joy 8.5 shoes. Notice slimmer, hugging design in the older 2 pairs. Also moreover sweater, stretchy material in the old ones. Heel in old one is softer and better fitting, has a softer inside too. And most of all-the new Joy is much bigger, at least a half size larger and appears more wider. The new Joy is a nice shoe, but if you are expecting to replace your old Joy shoes, go down at least a size and be aware of changes.

These are all I wear now. I have several colors. I wear them when I exercise, walk the dog or go out. I retire older pairs for doing yard work. I do add a cushioned insole for added comfort but the shoe is fine on its own.

Love Sketchers! These shoes are very comfortable. I ordered my usual size and they run slightly larger. I can still wear them without socks and my heel slips out just a little, but I can still walk in them. With socks, it's perfect. They, however, make my feet look bigger in comparison to other Sketchers styles. These shoes are a great casual shoe that doesn't require any breaking in. No frills a plain shoe, but very comfortable.
