They are very comfortable and true to size. I always wear a size 8 and they are a good fit. I have plenty of toe wiggle room and they don't feel tight anywhere. The heel height is perfect. They are a close fit ankle boot, so they aren't bulky under my straight leg Jeans and the Chestnut color is the perfect neutral with denim. Update 11/5/25: WARNING! SLIPPERY WHEN WET - I also have these in black. I wore them today to a funeral when it was raining. When I entered the church and started walking to a pew I discovered the soles are very slippery when wet. I was not expecting my shoes to turn into ice skates and I had to grab my husband's arm to avoid falling. The soles are so thick and the underside appears to be so rugged and I never gave a thought to them being slippery. I am disappointed, but now I know to be super cautious at all times. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Amazing shoe that has support and fleece induce for warmth. I have bought these in 3 colors now and they are my go to shoe for style and comfort. They slip on and off perfectly.

I've worn size 8.5 Skechers boots for many years and replaced them with the same size for many years without issues. My current ones need replacing, so I ordered 2 pairs of Skechers, 2 different styles ankle boots, both sized 8.5. These (the taupe ones) are way too large even with thick socks; the others turned out to be too small. I give up and will be trying on other brands at a local store. WAY too roomy and not very comfortable. Bought my usual size 8.5 M, which was recommended by Amazon, but they were big all over. Slipped up and down. Would need to wear extremely heavy socks for them to fit. Made my feet look huge. The sole is also very stiff and inflexible. Not at all comfortable. I returned them. This is my second pair of sketcher ankle boots. They are truly water proof. Stepped on a puddle and the water slipped off. Not even a stain. They are comfy and ease to wear. I also love this camel color.
