I love Skechers shoes and this is about my 10th pair. I wanted a comfortable walking shoe and this "GoRun" shoe is mixed in that regard. While the foam arch is definitely comfortable, that comfort completely disappears at balls of the feet and toes. Here, the shoe feels very thin. After 10 miles of walking, the sole is showing slight wear. I don't believe these shoes will hold up to the walking that my After Burners have endured. The heal is also slightly uncomfortable and has the typical plastic support, which I'm certain will be the first inner part of the shoe to wear out. The shoe is light, but it also looks cheap. The one very bright spot is how cool the shoe is. Most of the upper is a highly breathable mesh, which is noticeably cooler than the rest of the shoe. Overall, this is not up to my Skechers expectations. The Goga Mat is comfortable, but not as comfortable as the memory foam. I do expect that the Goga Mat material will probably hold up well, but my guess is that the sole will wear out before I can test this theory. This shoe should be priced closer to $30. ... show more

I've been walking using Sketchers Afterburn model. Recently I've had pain un my left forefoot area. I suspect it's from the slapping of my foot. The Afterburn doesn't have that much padding in that area. I bought these based on reviews and description of the model. Initially they fit great. I wear a 10.5 but bought an 11. I wear double socks when I walk. These GoRun models feel really soft. I like the look and they are lighter than the Afterburn model. I did my first 45 minute walk and I had no pain. So they are a success. The entire foot pillow is so different than regular Sketchers. Most of the shoe is cushioned from the mid to back so when you stride your weight us fully cushioned as you put your weight down when you stride. And you stride with no hard slapping. Time will tell how they hold up. But I like them and the price was very good. 8/17/23 The sole portion under the forefoot has already worn down to almost flat. The rest of the shoe still has good sole pads. I expected longer lasting. Time will tell if that affects cushioning. I would expect it would. ... show more

Very comfortable and light. This is more of a running shoe because the heel is recessed which helps running or walking. If you use just for cross training you should try it on to ensure you are comfortable.

I love these shoes and have purchased 4 pair so far. They fit well, are comfortable and look pretty good. I walk 4-6 miles a day in them. EXCEPT There are three things I hope Sketchers will address: 1. The laces are not quite robust enough. They start to stretch out after about 4 months in area where the lace leaves the shoe. 2. The layer of material that is the bottom surface, the "rubber that meets the road", is too thin and wears down too quickly. I wear through this layer in about 4-6 months, while the rest of the shoe is in perfect condition. The layer underneath the wear layer is fragile and spongy and quickly degrades in contact with "the road". I would love it if Skechers made the "wear layer" a little thicker and a little more durable. I feel bad putting perfectly good shoes in the trash every 4-6 months because the wear layer is gone. The rest of the shoe looks new. 3. And speaking of trash, unlike other name brand shoe companies, Skechers DOES NOT have a recycling program. I discovered that other brands do, and will be taking my used and unusable shoes to be recycled in the future when this layer wears out. ... show more
