I purchased this men's shoe after being unable to find a woman's shoe wide enough to accommodate my wide, athletic feet. I bought a 6.5 standard--not wide and it fir me nicely. My toes do not hurt and the balls of my feet do not push the shoe out, decreasing the probability of busting out of them. I am woman's 7.5 wide which is a men's 6 regular. But, they did not come in 6, so I got the 6.5 and although a bit long are great. So I kept them and just wear thick socks with them. I like that these shoes are 100% leather too. They Lace-up, have a Shock-absorbing supportive midsole, a Flexible rubber traction outsole Have a cushioned comfort insole and a 11/2 inch heel. The slight heel makes them better to stand in over long periods of time and for me, are more comfortable to walk and jog in. The shoes are comfortable, a good fit, a good quality (been running in them for 6 weeks). The build and shoe quality are good for todays shoes. Moreover, they look good and the weight is light, but not featherweight. One thing I would like to feel is a more cushioned insole. When running they are fine--not hard, but a thicker dense cushion insole wold be beneficial. The outer sole gives well and I can not feel the sharp rocks I run on. This shoe is a good value for your money and I will buy again. I hope I helped you in making a decision on your next pair of sneakers. Happy running.

I bought these to replace an older similar pair, these are an upgrade from the old ones that were out after many years of use. These fit perfectly and were comfortable from the first moment. Will be wearing them most days and also expect to get years of wear out of them.

I have been a huge fan of Sketchers for awhile now; their quality and craftsmanship are superb and their shoes are built to last! I am pretty tough on my shoes, and demand a lot from them. I need a shoe that offers sturdy support, as my back is pretty much a wuss, and will freak out about the littlest things, including lack of shoe support. Sketchers has always delivered everything I need in a shoe. I was excited to try this design, because I am on my feet a lot at work (I work 12-hour shifts on concrete floors at a manufacturing plant). From what I've read online, these shoes were ideal for my needs, because they offered the support I need for both my back and my feet. I also like the fact that these shoes have a very aggressive tread, as I do a lot of outdoor activities including hiking and camping, and I expect my everyday shoe to hold up for the task (even though I have dedicated hiking boots, sometimes you want a lighter-weight option, especially when you're carrying 60-80 pounds on your back). When these shoes arrived, I was impressed with the amount of tread and grip they provided. It wasn't like the dinky little tread you see on most shoes, it looked like they took a tire, cut it to shape, and put it on the bottom of the shoe - Sketchers meant business when they designed this shoe! The material is warm, but lets your feet breathe, so your feet stay nice and warm in the winter. I can't say how they are in the summer, as I didn't own them in the summer months. Inside, there is a lot of padding all around, especially in the tongue of the shoe, which is nice - it gives a real nice snug fit to keep the shoe in place without having to really strap down the lacing tight. There is a huge amount of padding in back on the bottom for your heels, which, for me, is where the problem comes in. For most people, this would be a very nice feature, but for some reason, it ended up hurting my heels pretty badly, almost to the point where I didn't want to walk from one end of the house to the other. After wearing them for just one 12-hour shift, my feet were screaming, and all I wanted to do was either sit back in a chair with my feet up or lay in bed, just so I wouldn't be on my feet. I understand that every pair of shoes needs to be broken in, and during that time the shoes can be a bit uncomfortable, but not this much. While I absolutely like these shoes and have absolutely nothing against them (other than the heel issue mentioned above), I am forced to return them to Amazon. Please remember that this is not the case for most people - my feet are extremely picky to begin with, and simply put, these shoes just aren't for me. I really like the quality and materials that Sketchers used to design this shoe, and I can honestly say that I believe they are a shoe that will hold up to use and abuse for quite a long time. Despite them not being the right shoe for my feet, I would still highly recommend them, but be aware that there is a large amount of padding in the heel area, and will lift the heel area of your foot upwards somewhat. I don't hold anything against Sketchers or these shoes. In fact, once my return is processed, I plan on buying a new pair of my go-to shoes, which are the Sketchers Men's Stamina Nuovo sneakers. All around, great shoe, just not for me (unfortunately).
