I bought the Skechers Boy's Microspec II-Vovrix Sneaker for my 7-year-old, who has a knack for wearing out shoes quickly. He spends a lot of time playing on the blacktop at school, so finding a pair of sneakers that can keep up with his energy is essential. So far, these shoes have been doing a solid job holding up to his rough-and-tumble activities, and I’m pretty impressed with their durability. One of the main reasons I chose the neon color was for safety—I love being able to quickly spot my child on the playground, and I wanted to offer the same peace of mind to his teachers. The bright color really stands out, which is great for keeping an eye on him, especially in crowded areas. However, there’s a downside to the neon: these shoes get dirty very quickly. After just a couple of days of play, they start looking pretty worn and grimy. On the plus side, they are washing machine safe, and they usually come out looking almost brand new after a wash. But, within a couple of days, they’re back to looking just as dirty as before. It’s a bit of a cycle, and while it’s not a dealbreaker, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re considering this color. Next time, I’ll probably opt for a darker color to minimize the constant need for cleaning—but that’s more on me than the shoe itself. If you’re like me and prefer a shoe that looks clean for more than a couple of days, you might want to consider a darker option. That said, if you don’t mind frequent washing or you prioritize visibility over cleanliness, these are great shoes that hold up well under tough conditions. Overall, despite the quick-to-dirty factor, these shoes are solid for active kids who need something durable and comfortable. Just be ready for frequent cleaning if you choose the neon! ... show more

The color on these is wow!! So eye catching, really stands out! My 10.5 year old loves these and he is picky! We got the as a back up pair of shoes for Disney World, so hopefully they are comfortable to walk around in for long periods of time! They have good arch support and fit true to size! I love scetchers. They are the only brand of shoes I buy and im a nurse on my feet all day. As a rule all my scetchers hold up forever. I am 8.5 in womens with medium width and 6 in big boy. These fit just fine. Are as described. Vibrant color light wieght washable

The color and comfort of these are great. However, my son has been wearing them for only 7 months and the sole is coming off of one already. We were hoping for a pair of solid shoes that his younger brother could wear next, but it doesn’t look like that will be the case.
