My son loves orange and the helmet he had was always coming lose, pulling back on his head, I could never adjust it to stay. The straps would loosen every time. We found this and gave it a try. Perfect. We had to remove the front cushion to fit on his head, but I just covered the rough Velcro spots with bandaids and he still finds it very comfortable. Perfect color.     • Good... Not great. Both pros and cons.
I purchased for my 3 year old to use with his new kick board. The extra padding to help size the helmet did come in useful; however that material seems cheep and will most likely fail within a few months of hard use. If you have kids that will only use the helmet occasionally, this is a good choice, but the other helmet I got for his little brother is much better quality and also can be adjusted for size a bit. As far as the outer shell is concerned, it is good quality and should hold up to any falls he takes. I also like how easy the straps are to adjust and not only for tightness, but for helping positioning in his head. Overall the comfort, I'd give it a 3 star. And the value about a 4. Quality is 3.5, but these are considered against the high quality skate, bike helmet I have purchased for myself that last a very long time. Giving it 3 stars as comfort for a child's helmet needs to be higher so he enjoys wearing it vs fighting it. He actually enjoys his full ATV helmet better than this one, but it is not practical for what he is doing. ... show more

The 3 sets of removable pads sizes small medium and large have very little size difference. They all looked the same to me. They make no difference if your trying to adjust the helmets fit. I thought the first helmet was a mistake with the pads but the 2nd helmet was the same way. Good helmet if it fits but don't expect the different size pads to do anything . ... show more
