SITKA MEN'S STRATUS HUNTING PANTS Windproof and quiet, the versatile Stratus Pant was built for the fluctuating weather found throughout the whitetail season. A GORE-TEX INFINIUM with WINDSTOPPER membrane is sandwiched between a hushed micro-fleece shell and a warm and breathable micro-grid fleece interior, delivering windproof comfort on the coldest days of the rut. GORE OPTIFADE Concealment Elevated II is designed for whitetail hunters in an elevated position. Hunters need the absolute best protection from the chill of long sits during the rut. Sitka designed the Stratus with GORE WINDSTOPPER to create a fully-featured, totally windproof pant that is optimized for these exact conditions. They utilized micro-grid fleece for its warmth-to-weight ratio and gave the pant an articulated patterning to provide a comfortable fit when in a seated position allowing your legs total range of motion.

Got new whitetail gear this season and the Stratus line with windstopper is excellent. I love these pants. Used daily with matching Stratus coat and lighter weight Sitka coat without windstopper during warmer afternoons. Comfortable. Quiet. Quality. Warm. So well designed. Excellent pockets and pocket location. Fit was perfect, 34-36" waist in typical jeans these fit spot on. If over a 36 you'll need the next size I'd guess. A+ Highly recommend.     • Way Better than expected
I read a ton of reviews and was worried that these pants would be overpriced and not very warm. I tend to run warm so take that into account. I only saw a few reviews that said they wore these pants into the low 20s so I was a bit concerned that this wouldn't be warm enough for late season. These pants were too warm in the low 40s with nothing underneath, but I did get a chance to sit in low 20s and these pants were great with a cheap base layer and a fleece line pant underneath. Both thin enough layers that they tucked into my boots just fine. Not even a little cold in the legs The only cons I have are that for this price I wish it was waterproof but I didn't get soaked in a light drizzle. They run a little small I wear a 36in pants and had to get the XL to even button them up. Also, the zippers are a little loud but honestly, all zippers are loud when you are trying to be silent. ... show more

    • wind proof comfort with plenty of warmth!
perfect pants for mid or late season hunting. in extreme cold hunting conditions wear these pants under the Incinerator bibs and you could easily hunt in frigid single digit windy conditions. as all Sitka gear you will need to go up one size based on what you would normally wear. you cant beat the consistency of how well made all of the Sitka gear is. well worth the money spent on hunting gear that will last for many years in all conditons. ... show more

I love Sitka's stuff but the sizing makes me nuts. Unless you have a slight build, the stuff will run small to tight on you. The quality is these is great, but they run really small. Don't be surprised if you have to move up a whole size.

The pants are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Just got back from a Kentucky hunt several cold fronts came through. Sat in a climbing stand with wind and rain stayed very comfortable and dry.
