Description

SITKA TIMBERLINE PANT Designed to stand up to the toughest mid-to-late season conditions, the Timberline Pant has long stood as the alpine hunter’s go-to. Constructed with ultra-durable 4-way stretch polyester with double reinforced waterproof–yet breathable–nylon Ripstop knees and seat. Removable articulated knee pads will keep you comfortable in the talus of the Rockies and the cacti of the Mojave. Product is Performance Fit, designed for minimal layering. Timberline Pant is a part of late-season system. This system is designed for when temps drop, the winds howl and you need bomb-proof gear that keeps you in the blind come hell or high water. Utilizing our smartest designs and most technical fabrics, like waterproof Gore-Tex with Stretch Technology and PrimaLoft insulation, this system provides maximum warmth, weather protection and durability. Each piece of gear is engineered to work together for a complete skin-to-shell system, with mid-layers equally suited to do the job of insulation or outerwear during high activity or breaks in the weather. Hunting in late-season conditions often leads to moisture pick-up from wet ground, rocks, tall grasses or saddles and can work its way into your layering system, compromising a hunt. For moisture and abrasion-prone areas in the seat and knees, our approach was to pattern-in durable overlays while providing an exceptionally breathable soft shell pant. Product Care Routine Care and maintenance ensures the optimum performance of your SITKA Gear. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s care instructions – typically found on the inside tag. - Use a front load washing machine and a scent-free, gentle detergent - Use warm water on permanent press or gentle cycle and rinse twice to ensure all cleaner has been removed - Do Not Bleach + Do Not Dry Clean + Do Not Iron

  • Quality (Fit & Finish)
Color: Open Country Size: 34
Excellent flexibility for long stalks. They run long /and a bit tight with long John’s. I recommend going up one size. I’m a 31/32 in jeans. I chose the 32/32 size. Perfect fit.

  • Best Hunting Pants Made!
Color: Open Country Size: 38
Took me 42 years to find the best hunting pants for me. So, naturally, I bought 3 pairs of Sitka Timberline pants in OPTF OC pattern. Review time. I’m 52 years old. 5’9” overweight at 219lbs and a 38” waist. A long time ago I was an excellent athlete, so, my body still has a physical shape if you look at it in just the right light. But my mind believes I can still tear my way up and down the pacific coast range canyons and timber hunting deer and elk. Afterwards, my body tells my mind “It’s Crazy”...For over 30 years I have worn with religion many pairs of drape green M65 military field pants and I loved them. The M65’s were tough pants that had several handy pockets, but being made of a thick, heavy cotton didn’t allow for a lot of versatile flexibility when I was at times crawling over or under downed trees or through thick brush having to lift my boots up high with each step to clear them out of choke vines and ferns. Sitka came to my attention from a Sitka vest purchase I made at a store for a gift for my wife. A Sitka vest isn’t a small investment. It cost real money. The wife loved the vest and I became intrigued by the material. So, I started reading up on the Sitka big game line and went all in on a pair of the above mentioned pants. When I got them I was skeptical for sure, being lighter then my M65 pants I was sure I would destroy them hunting. Putting them on I felt like I was wearing a pair of my comfortable sweat pants minus the cotton feel. Oh, well, I would give them a try. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Just getting into my truck I had move movement capability and after 12 hours of hunting I had never felt better or less tired because I wasn’t constantly fighting the resistance of my M65 pants all day. The knee pads and seat waterproofing were a bonus too and was happy to have it. I hunted 8 days straight in them until I filled my deer tag. Then I sat down and ordered 2 more pairs so I can rotate them into service during elk season. I was hunting in conditions that ranged from 34 degrees with rain, wind and snow to 60 degrees and sun during those 8 days and I wore just a pair of Merino long Johns under the Sitka pants. Pants were wind proof in 40 MPH gusts and shedded most of the rain. I did get damp in them during heavy rain but that’s my bad for not putting my Gore-Tex rain pants on. These pants hunt. And they hunt hard. Oh, the suspenders the pants come with really help too. Great job Sitka! You made a pair of hunting pants that makes a middle age guy feel younger by hunting longer with less fatigue. MLP ... show more

  • and comfortable under less than ideal conditions
Color: Open Country Size: 38
Sitka Gear makes top-quality products. The gear is quite expensive, but it is hard to put a price value on clothing that keeps you warm, dry, and comfortable under less than ideal conditions. I wear Sitka Gear almost exclusively when I am out hunting. Colors do not fade when washing. Clothing holds up reasonably well when walking through briars and other vegetation that tend to unravel clothes. Camo patterns blend in pretty good with surroundings. I bowhunt exclusively and the clothing is reasonably quiet. I'm going on a pig hunt in Texas in a few weeks and can't wait to try out these new pants, especially the built-in knee pads. You can get your best prices by waiting for clearance sales at the end of the year when most clothing is discounted by about 30%. ... show more

  • Perfect for whitetail hunting
Color: Open Country Size: 34 Tall
Used these this season for whitetail hunting in the Midwest. Temperature ranged from 20F to 35F. I wear a 32 x 34 pants and purchased the 34T of the Timberline Pant and was still able to fit a pair of long johns and a pair of jeans underneath and still move comfortably in them. Sat for a total of 4-5 hours a day and legs stayed perfectly warm (fingers and toes were a different story). Having the suspenders were great for sitting since it kept the pants from sliding down and exposing my back to the wind. Overall I would recommend these to anyone who wants a comfortable, lightweight (but warm) pair of hunting pants. At $200+ it's definitely an investment but currently it's been a good one. ... show more

  • Love these pants
Color: Open Country Size: 38
Went deer and elk hunting and the first 3 days we had snow storms. These pants kept me dry and warm. Love them, but I took the suspenders off. Being a girl, I didn't need them.

  • Super Comfortable and kept the wind out
Color: Open Country Size: 34
These were great for my trip to Colorado elk hunting. They fit great, they were actually long enough and I had room to layer. They flex great and you have plenty of ball room to reach a leg up over a down tree without worrying about ripping the crotch out. The knee pads seemed awkward at first but once you have had to crawl around in sage brush dodging cactus you will really begin to appreciate them. They also allowed me to be a bit quieter. As for warmth, plan on layering, these block the wind and trap heat but they are not insulated. The suspenders were very comfortable as well. ... show more

  • Poor Craftsmanship
Color: Open Country Size: 32
I don't know what being it is made to fit... Not human. I purchased a small. The knee pad is positioned at the middle of my calf. Made in China? Come-on SITKA!
