The system enables you to stay comfortable, concealed and in the field longer through the worst of weather. Product Care. Routine Care and maintenance ensures the optimum performance of your SITKA Gear. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's care instructions – typically found on the inside tag. Use a front load washing machine and a gentle detergent. Use warm water on permanent press or gentle cycle and rinse twice to ensure all cleaner has been removed. My husband and sons all work outdoors all winter and have tried every kind of base layer imaginable. They say these are hands down the warmest, most comfortable pair they own. You wouldn't think they would be warm because they are so lightweight but they are. They are worn several days in a row and as soon as I get them washed they put them back on. These are awesome. They help wick away moisture and dry pretty quick. I wear these into the stand and then once I cool down I replace them with a heavier layer or I'll just put the next layer on over them!

As a core layer worn under Sitka Mountain Pants, these are good for around 20 degrees sitting and up to around 50 degrees walking. Else they’re not warm enough under 20 and or get too warm above 50. If it’s gonna be cold all day I’d recommend medium or heavy weight.
