I have two robes: one from LL Bean and one from the Vermont Country Store, for reference. Both are flannel with the LL Bean robe being the slightly thinner of the two. This current robe that I just bought is fine. It is indeed lightweight. It is more on the order of the LL Bean robe in terms of thickness though not as "flannel-ish". I think for mild weather it should be fine or worn over sweats and a t-shirt, as I wear my robe, is fine too. It has a higher shawl collar which I think will be nice during the winter. This robe washed up fine, on cold and then run in the dryer on low for about 15 minutes and hung up to finish drying. I didn't notice any serious shrinking and there was no wrinkling. I think with some attention to how you care for the robe it should hold up pretty well. The Big News is the fit. I ordered a medium and for reference I am 5'2" and weigh 105 lbs +/-. The robe comes down to about high calf and the sleeves come to just over my wrists with my arms extended. The robe wraps just to my left side. It is not a generous fit exactly but does fit me right. If you are larger than me and order the medium then it will probably wrap closer to your middle and if you are taller it will come up a little higher on your leg. So, order accordingly. It's a comfy piece, but I wish the sleeves were maybe an inch longer. I'm 5'7", so they're a little short for my long arms (but do-able). However, the belt loops are 2 different heights which is great, because I am short-waisted. Basically there is a long belt loop that is stitched down in the middle, giving you the option of 2 different waist heights. Other reviewers said the fabric is thin, and for the price, you should expect that. But I am a stitcher, and I have worked with thinner flannel that this, and I would say that this is a decent thickness, and thick enough to be modest if you are visiting family and need a bathrobe to/from the shower. For the record, I bought the pink & burgundy one. Great buy in a pinch. Wrinkles a bit after a wash, but you get what you pay for! Just wet the belt, reshape it & hang to dry. It’s soft and washes well but the sleeves are about two inches too short. I sized up hoping it would correct the issue but my wrist bones are a good 2.5 inches away from the sleeve hems. I also wanted it to be warmer. Flannel plaid is a winter weight fabric but this robe is summer weight, which is fine if that is what you are looking for…but something to be aware of if you are expecting a garment similar in weight to a flannel shirt. ... show more

I have been looking for a flannel robe that is soft, not too lightweight, not too heavy, one I can wear year round. Be warm in the winter and cool enough for summer. I really was looking for a robe that fits a woman's body. This one is perfect. I am a usual size L in robes, I can wear anywhere from 8-10-12, depending on the company and that's what I ordered. I am about 150, 5"7", and a little busty. This robe has plenty of room in it. Stays closed with the separate tie belt. Long enough too. Hate the short ones because my legs get cold. The sleeves are long enough too to cover your arms on a chilly night. I got the blue plaid. Its a nice soft blue and navy. I will be ordering more! ... show more

The blue and gray plaid cotton robe is very soft and provides great coverage. Just what I needed to throw on as a coverup when company is around, or to provide a little warmth on chilly summer mornings. I'm a size misses 10 and about 5' 5", the size large is exactly right, with a little wiggle room and length almost to the floor.     • Nice robe, almost too small
I really like the robe. It's a lightweight flannel that is soft and really comfortable. I bought a medium based on their measurements. I wish I had bought a size up because I like my robe loose. I will probably buy another one because this one may not be comfortable over winter pajamas.
