It's not glass. Love the acetate - the framed picture is so light. There is static cling film on both sides of the acetetate that has to be removed. You can put the removed film back on the front of the finished work for a little bit of transport protection. The frame itself is not wood, it is some kind of dense plastic, I think a high density foam. This means it can take screws if you want to have a hanging wire. I use what are called Heavy Duty D-Rings, Single Hole. They come with smallish screws and a 3/32 drill bit is just right for the screws in the package I got. Be careful not to drill through to the front of the frame, although the hole is so small nobody will notice it. Have a very small Philips screwdriver ready. No mitering, it's all one piece. I've come to be nervous about mitered corners so this is perfect for me. Be sure to have another layer of something between the art and the backing board, because the fittings are riveted (?) and are slightly raised on the inner side and could mark the art's back side. I had a little trouble with rotating some of the clips that hold the backing board in place. I used a dinner fork to pop them loose; they are easy to bend back in shape with pliers (or by hand). Once assembled, I put a short strip of masking tape across each of the clips to make sure they don't rotate by accident in the future.

Before these arrived I found some frames I liked locally and bought them. I planned on returning these to Amazon but I liked them so much I’m keeping them and will use them on other prints I have! Very nice quality frame, sturdy and nice color. Well worth getting. Glad I did!

My room-mate is an artist and created some glossy prints of their art to sell. These frames really do a great job of making their art really pop. The frame is plastic and the screen is poly... but it is sturdy enough and the cost is good. I do not regret these frames and they make the pictures look uplifted.

We purchased these to frame some show posters we'd picked up at concerts the past few years. Although they are not fancy, they do look very nice and were easy to insert our posters into. I would recommend for anyone, like us, who has a TON of concert art you'd like to display without breaking the bank.

This is the second time I have purchased these frames. They are perfect for my diamond paintings. The first set was great, so I ordered them again. This time one of the sheets of plexiglass had a crack in it. Of course I had them all unpackaged by the time I realized it, so not going to the trouble to send them back. Frustrating, because I really do love the frames for my projects. Minus one star due to damage.
