Nice looking desk at a very good price. The desk is has a solid wood top with veneer and sturdy metal legs. It's surprisingly heavy! It arrived well packed with very clear instructions that made assembly pretty straight forward. Probably the easiest assembly I've ever attempted, with only a few minor issues - one of the bolt holes was slightly cockeyed which took a little finagling to get the bolt in straight. Another bolt hole was partially filled with some debris (probably dried glue) but I was eventually was able to gently pry out the material to get the bolt in. I would have rated 5 stars except the left front side of the drawer wasn't veneered so it looks rough compared to the rest of the wood top. It's a good value based on the quality materials and easy assembly. ... show more

I first saw this item in a Home Depot catalog mailer. I was looking to replace a very large desk that consumed the small room it was in. This looked like it would fit my needs and I especially liked the fact it was very open. I checked several websites looking at prices and reviews. Overall reviews were very good and Amazon had the best price so the order was placed. When the item arrived the carton had some re-tape done on one of the corners and there was a tear in the side of the carton. I opened the carton that day and this thing was packed extremely well. No damage of any sort and the instructions make it easy to confirm all the parts. The parts are clearly marked as well as the hardware in individual plastic packs. They even give you a packet of extra parts. Putting the desk together is easy and the directions are very clear. Holes were drilled accurately and all went together smoothly. I use this as a computer desk and was concerned about wire clutter with the open back. I ended up using 3M Command plastic clips along the back and down the leg to trail the wires. No clutter. Some of the other reviews reference this being pine and a softer wood but I will use a desk pad if needed and not treat it as a workbench. Very pleased with the purchase. See photo. ... show more

I dislike anything I have to assemble but this wasn't bad at all...even for me. Directions were well thought out and everything is labeled and numbered. There is even extra hardware. It was packaged very well. I chose the weathered grey finish because it was the cheapest and I have to say I really do like it. Dimensions are spot on. The only issue with mine is the drawer which you have to really pull at first then it's smooth to come out the rest of the way...but then when you close it you have to really push for it to close all the way. I don't expect I'll be using the drawer daily so I can live with that. Great quality and lightweight but not in a bad way. You can easily move to vacuum under and I LOVE that. ... show more

The MDF is very soft so I was able to drill out a hole that didn’t fit the corresponding bolt. One of the legs is shorter on one side than the other three. All four support braces were different sizes. One was so small I had to drill a new hole to attach it to the table. The flat surface had a minor cosmetic blemish which would normally not show but I got the white table so it is noticeable. Overall mid-quality so get it on sale if you can. The assembly is simple but pay close attention to what direction the parts are facing. A drill will speed up the process but keep in mind this is MDF not solid wood so proceed with caution. ... show more

We bought a second one to match the first. When the table was delivered, the carton was intact - no damage to corners or edges. Inside, styrofoam pieces and corner board had been carefully arranged to protect the components. Each piece was clearly marked and every hole lined up. The hex-head screws were packed in clearly marked zip-lock bags. They even send a separate bag with an extra allen wrench and one more of each screw just in case. The Assembly booklet is easy to follow and the table goes together smoothly, even with just the allen wrench. The leg assemblies are firm and the 4 gusset pieces make for a really stable table.
