Manufacturing (and may be packing) has quality control issues. They send you a package of additional hardware 'just in case'. The dowel holes were oversize, some so large that gravity could pull them out. Not sure why they stained the dowels, but they did. On one panel, the holes were drilled on the wrong side. Assembly instructions were not hard to follow, but assembly was a bit problematic because of the loose dowels. Overall, does not look bad for the price. Comes with an anti-tip strap if needed (household with rugrats) ... show more

Broken pieces when arrived. Contacted company and they said a replacement part would be sent but have yet to receive it 6+ weeks later. Wood is very soft and dings and cracks easily.

The good. Nice hardwood. Solid construction. Very appealing for the price paid. The bad. Box arrived damaged (components OK). Small pieces of Styrofoam had to be vacuumed out of my carpet. It took a couple hours to assemble. All shelves are fixed dimension. No adjustability. Overall, a nice piece.

It is nice looking and seems solid. I was not happy with the fact that the last piece to attach (the top) turned out to be defective and when I contacted the manufacturer the replacement part was the wrong size!

Really poor craftsmanship. The top trim is misaligned, the two support rails on the sides were both split and coming apart from overscrewing and the forward facing back panels had unpainted areas. If it were one thing... OK. But this piece of furniture had multiple quality issues and all were caused in manufacturing... not delivery. Whatever, I'm not undergoing the hassle of a large return. I repaired the rails and touched up the back... and I guess I will hide the highly visible shoddy top work in a dark corner. Not happy. It gets 2 because I do like the design and it is wood. ... show more
