Well, if there's one good thing about these: the color doesn't run. That's about where the good qualities end. Out of 12, 7 of them had poorly sewn side seams. The threads were loose or the seams were falling apart before they were even washed. I keep these in our most used bathroom. I keep them rolled up in a basket. As they get washed all the time, I need them to be able to wick water off of wet hands and hang nicely on the towel rod. They are thin but absorbent. The color hasn't run on these or faded (yet) Luckily I have a sewing machine so I've resewn the edges down with sturdier thread. For the price, I think that there are other local stores that sell this quality for about a dollar. When these wear out, I'll buy from there. ... show more

Washed in cold water and dried on medium heat. Dryer screen loaded chuck full of lint and threads. Each towel had to be manually trimmed - very many threads along edges and pile (not loops) unraveling within the body of the towels. No tags on the towels, which usually shows name and location of manufacturer and product care instructions. Supposed to be 27 inches long, but actually only 25". Does not absorb water, well. (No, I did not use fabric softener or dryer sheets, which diminishes absorbency.) Inferior product. ... show more

I washed these towels before using and 4 of the 12 ended up with holes and fraying on the sides! ALL of them pilled terribly. I cannot use them and VERY DISAPPOINTED! I guess they will be dust clothes and I will be lucky if they hold up for 3 washings. What disappoints me the most, is that this was an AMAZON CHOICE. I have ordered from AMAZON MANY MANY TIMES AND HAVE COUNTED ONTHEIR RECOMMENDATIONS IN THE PAST AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. Now I don't know what to expect. ... show more

These are the worst towels. I expected some lint but I didn’t not expect them to fall apart upon washing. I received them today, shook them out and saw the dust fly so I washed them in cold water with no detergent and dried them with a dryer sheet to try to shake off the fuzz. After a short drying cycle the result was the pile of dust in the photo and all of the towels were frayed and to had an odd discoloration on them. I am extremely disappointed. Very soft, absorbent and a great value. We just joined a gym and wanted a decent quality towel to take and use that would stand up wash after wash and so far these towels are awesome. The review below was when I had originally gotten them. Now that I have had them for a while and they are mostly done shedding lint all over the dryer and other clothes, they are better. Not so bad. But months later they still leave lint and thread on other things in the dryer cycle. For the price they are average ... 3/5 -- Got these and the first thing I did was to wash them. Coming out of the washer there were a lot of strings/threads left in the washer. After drying the lint trap was full of lint. and the towels themselves were covered with lint and pills and dangling threads. I can't use these as hand towels in the bathroom or as dish towels in the kitchen. These are not absorbent either. Not a good value, avoid. 1/5. ... show more

These towels were affordable in price and the gray color is a beautiful dark gray. They only shrunk at the band area like most towels do. They shed like crazy still, almost a dozen washes in. But after a month & a half, these towels are shredding like CRAZY! Strings hanging randomly from the center of the towel, holes showing up everywhere & seams are coming undone. I guess you get what you pay for in this example. If you don't intend to use them, these would be good decorative towels. That's the only real value they offer. ... show more

    • Not worth the fluff!

So when I received these towels the first thing I did was count them, there were only 11 towels in the package that stated 12. I counted them again just to be sure. As I was looking at the quality they seemed fine and I noted one that already had a snag but had not been snagged on anything. I still hoped for the best and figured I'd work out the one missing towel with Amazon but needed to use them so I sent them through the wash. At this point it became quite concerning. As I pulled them out of the dryer there was an overwhelming amount of lint (inches thick) and clumps of fluff from the towels still falling off the towels. I continue to shake out and fold each towel and noticed that nearly half of them had runs in them where the line in midst of the towel was now bare or they had strings uncurling at the edges. These towels were listed as premium and they are anything but that. I'm working on a refund with Amazon today. ... show more
