As with all simple human products, this dish rack is well worth the money. It's sturdy and holds a lot. It drains better than any dish rack I've ever owned... no standing water ever. I can spray it down with my faucet spray and the water just runs into the sink. The rack lifts right out easily making it a breeze to clean. The tray below the glass holders to catch the drips is genius. Super efficient all around and sleek looking as well. I DETEST counter-top drainage racks. My SO can’t live without them….. Since we are both middle aged, the chance of eliminating these preferences is highly unlikely….. After tolerating his horrible BLACK PLASTIC dish drain for over a year, spending hours researching dish drains; and purchasing several small metal dish drains and coordinating drying mats (which were rejected), I ran across this one…. YES, it’s expensive; NO, it’s not perfect (my SO, an engineer, wants more prongs), but I immediately knew that this dish drain would work. especially given the size and since we were expecting a large crowd of overnight guests….. Initially, my SO was not thrilled (change is hard, folks), but within minutes (and after realising that the wine glass holder would prop-up his massive cutting board), he was happy…. Compromise had been reached and the horrendous BLACK PLASTIC dish drain was retired to a linen closet, though it is still accessible in the event it is needed for a large crowd…. CONS; Shows water spots in one SMALL unnoticeable spot; is big; may need more spikes; still requires a DISH DRAIN to be on the counter; and MIGHT be a challenge to stow-away….. PRO’s; It’s large; it can be rotated to accommodate a variety of counter sizes/shapes; it doesn’t show water spots; it is attractive (for a dish drain); it coordinates with stainless steel appliances and black kitchen accessories; it is engineer-approved; and it can hold a BUNCH of stuff….. Given the success with the dish drain, and the fact that it likely saved my SANITY, the stress of counselling, and possibly my RELATIONSHIP, I went-on to purchase TWO sponge holders!! 😀 THANK YOU!! Honestly if you’re a living, breathing human being that eats and cleans, this drying rack is it. Hem and haw about the price all you want but it’s a great investment and has made me enjoy washing dishes. It’s well-designed, has massive capacity, and I love the spout function to drain excess water back into the sink. The integrated organization system accommodates a wide variety of products and I love the drink ware hooks on the side. It has a nice weight to it and feels like it’s built to last. ... show more

This is a review for the standard version of the simplehuman dish drying rack. Very happy with the product! It’s times like these that I wish I could give reviews in half-star increments as this surely deserves a 4.5! However, I have to ding it slightly as the plastic drip tray for the mugs feels a little flimsy and doesn’t extend out far enough for larger mugs. Also, the MSRP seems steep for what you’re getting ($99.99 at the time of this review). Somewhere around the $80 range would seem fairer. With those caveats out of the way, I have nothing but praise for the design! The swivel drainage is a nice touch and allows you to use the dish drainer either way around (this could be critical for people with limited countertop space). The size is just right for 2 or 3 people and allows for a good selection of pots, plates, cutlery, and mugs. The fingerprint-proof stainless steel is sleek. And the wine holder section is very sturdy. All in all, I’d recommend this. Although, I’d suggest holding off until a sale because, as I mentioned, the MSRP seems a little on the high side. I got this dish rack several years ago and it lasted for a couple of years, I finally had to throw it out because of how rusty and used it had gotten. I love the high walls on it and how it can hold a lot of pots and pans, dishes, cups etc. I’d highly recommend getting this. It’s pricey but worth it. ... show more
