At this price point, I think the quality for this desk is very good. The metal legs and frame were actually better than I had expected. The fiberboard top is more than adequate, and one would expect to pay more to get a higher quality desk top. Operation is smooth and quiet. Hopefully it will stand up to use, but as of now, I am very pleased with the purchase. PROS: Extremely well packaged for shipping. All parts clearly labeled. No parts missing. Nothing damaged. An extra packet of screws was included. Good instructions. Assembly was straightforward. All pre-drilled holes, except for one, lined up perfectly, and that one was only off by a little and was usable. Sturdy frame. Built in leg levelers. CONS: As mentioned earlier, although very adequate, the desk surface is not the highest quality. The driveshaft to raise and lower the top is not heavy duty. While I believe it’s fine for the occasional raising and lowering. I’m not sure how it would stand up to letting kids play with it a lot. COMMENTS: Although tools are included for assembly, I would not even bother with the included screwdriver. At the very least, use your own longer screwdriver. Better still, an electric screwdriver or drill. (Tip - start with clutch on a light setting to avoid stripping the fiberboard pre-drilled holes). A lot of the metal screws have a hex head and allen wrenches are supplied. In order to speed assembly, I found a torx T 30 screwdriver was great to screw in the larger ones and switched to the allen wrench just before tightening. ... show more

Super functional and nice quality finish. It's very sturdy and the side hook to hang wires is helpful to keep the wires off the floor. It's suitable for a small person like me who's barely over 5 feet. The height adjustment is easy to use and doesn't make a loud motor noise.

    • Need a drill to set this up. Too expensive and time consuming

Instructions call for a drill and you will need to spend more money on a drill in case you don’t have one to tighten the screws. Paid around 30 usd to buy a drill and the commute to store was extra. The screw driver provided also wears off soon before you finish the task of tightening screws on legs. If this is all your budget permits, I highly recommend not to buy this. Bought the white desk. Got it set up yesterday. Too much work to put together although Set of instructions provided is clear. Works fine so far, seems sturdy but really lose because the screws won’t do what they need to without drill. Extra 30 usd. Just feeling horrible to have spent so much money just for one desk. The legs fortunately were of the same height unlike one of the customers wrote. Just keeping it because otherwise I have to pay for return shipping as it’s heavy and for Uber commute to carry this.
