I love that there is no assembly and the edges are rounded. The top little shelves are small but neat for a toddler that likes to put their hands in the shelf to reach a small book or toy. I think this shelf will last a long time. The seat area looks padded but is not. It's all plastic. We use it as a shelf only right now to hold toys that I change out a few times a month. It's light enough that if it did get pulled over by my one year old, I seriously doubt it would hurt anything. But it's center of gravity is low and the shelf is deep enough that it hasn't been an issue. Hasn't been pulled over once. I use this product in the 4-year old classroom for 2 years now and the item is easy to clean, durable, and no assembly required. The item gets use daily and still looks brand new. The only complaint is as an adult I would not find this comfortable for sitting on for long periods of time. To remedy this for my students I placed some small pillows on the chair portion of the product. They love them!!!! ... show more

This thing is basically indestructible. It's one solid piece that doesn't need to be put together and it holds a pretty good number of books and a few small toys.

This has been a great addition to my son's room. I now have a place to put all of his books and they are not just cluttering up his room in a basket. My son is two and will climb on this, stand, and attempt to jump off of it with ease and it does not tip at all. It seems very sturdy and I am not worried about it falling over or tipping if he is standing on it. One thing I dislike is the seat where he can sit. In the picture, it is a bit deceiving, b/c it looks like there is a small cushion on the seat. There is no cushion and it is just the hard plastic of the shelf, with an indentation to make it look like a cushion. I was slightly disappointed that what I thought was a bit of a cushion in the picture was not really a cushion in person. If you are crafty, which I am not, you could probably make a small cushion to fit the area if desired.
