I'm really happy with the product. I bought it to replace the blanket that was in the top of my wood stove. One inch was going to be a little thick but it was going to work, but when I got the blanket it was more like an inch and a half thick. I ended up peeling some layers off it to make it thinner so I could fit it into my wood stove. Very happy with the product and if I ever needed more I'd buy this again.

Have had used wood stove 2 years. Did not know this insulation needed changed. Since putting new one in.....takes less wood to get fire up to temp and seems wood burns slower and hotter
