This is a great little welder! Definitely would recommend as a starter or just one to have around for things that come up. We were able to weld a dishwasher part. Used here by a nonexpert. I was really grateful for the face mask that came with it but it did not come with gloves, so you might need those. Easy to set up even though the instructions were a little unclear. We utilized the MIG welding feature with electricity so not sure about the gas feature! You have to ensure negative and positives are plugged into the right spot. Good starter welder for under $100 bucks. Its pretty basic in its features but that is great for something that is just starting out and does not know what all of the different settings and terms are. As far as laying a bead it will lay a nice bead and give you a foundation to keep building on.

I got this for my husband who is a seasoned welder and he is really impressed with it. It does everything he needs it to do with our various projects and he is confident in its performance. It even comes with a little face shield so it’s a great starter kit. He likes the size of it too and that it’s 120v. He has several other higher end welders and is still pretty impressed with this one. It’s not overly intimidating too, he has even been able to get our teenage daughter to start learning with it. It’s been quite surprising how decent it really is. It’s a great product and I would recommend it!

I had sent a message about this welder, wirefeed does not work, stick trips my house breaker. I do not want this welder. I want a full credit or new welder sent to home thats on file. The only negative that I have for this welder is that it didn't come with headgear, which would have made it an even better deal. I like the fact that I didn't have to run a 220-volt wire or hook up another breaker to handle the voltage. This welder is easy to use. I was a little daunted at first when I opened up the box, but if you take your time, watch a few videos here on Amazon and read the other reviewers, read the manual you'll be welding your first line in no time. I was going to put a spare tire holder onto my RV trailer using nuts and bolts, but I wanted to give the welder a try and it worked marvelously. I won't say I'm a professional welder and I'm sure that my first bead or two didn't look so good, but after a few sticks and then I used an angle grinder to smooth it out, I liked the way it looked and I can say that I welded it. I did get head gear from Amazon at this link: https://amzn.to/4dDC9yV that wasn't too expensive and I really liked it.

I think I'm gonna like flux core welding. I tested the welder first with E6013 rods of 1/16" and 3/32" on a 15amp circuit. Best results were between 50 and 90 amps. At 110 amps the breaker tripped. But the flux core seems so much easier to get consistent results. This gives me confidence to start a project. My shop is 110 volts only.
