I found that I actually like the almond milk more than I like regular cow's milk. I buy the plain unsweetened so that I can cook with it. if I want it sweet? I can sweeten it. if I want a little vanilla in it? I can add vanilla. This makes really good hot cocoa, old fashioned homemade style. And one of the things that surprised me a little bit is it slightly thickens when heated up which as far as I'm concerned makes a way better hot cocoa. This oddly enough makes a really good bechamel sauce. It's just all around useful. Bonus!! it's shelf stable until opened. No refrigeration required! that is so handy!! Once again, a good addition to camping trips. It also helps make a really good base soup. for ex: clam chowder or potato soup. for those people that don't necessarily want to deal with cow's milk? seriously awesome viable option. and I really can't argue the price here on Amazon. because I've always gotten it at a reasonable price. comparable to going to the grocery store and buying it there. ... show more

The chocolate almond milk is great. I put it in my picky-eater daughter’s lunch and I drink them occasionally. I took one star away because of the straw. It is two pieces, one a smaller diameter than the other. It pulls out and clicks into place to become longer. However once the level of the milk is less than where the two straw parts meet, it becomes worthless because the milk leaks out of the gap. ... show more

I am lactose intolerant. I blow up like an exploding balloon when I drink milk. This product has been a great way for me to have my milk and cereal everyday, unless I have to go out of town on business. Hotels and restaurants seem to have no clue as to alternatives for milk. If I am lucky, they might have nondairy creamer for coffee. But that is not milk. I thought about packing some Silk milk in a thermos and taking that along. But I could not gauge just how much I would need and the thermos was a heavy nuisance. Then I discovered these little to go containers. Perfect! I could pack one for each day away! My bag got lighter with each passing day, and though they don't have to be refrigerated unless opened, I was able to store them in the hotel room refrigerator just to put a little chill on them. They come in handy for other uses, too, work, lunches, picnics, etc. Now that it is winter around here, I am keeping some on the shelf in case I get snowed in. These are supposedly available locally. I have not seen them. The taste is great (I like vanilla); the value for the money is excellent. While, I pour all of mine into the bowl, there is a little straw that comes attached to the side of the container if you want to drink it like that. ... show more
