UPDATE: IT FLASHED WITHOUT BEING IN CONTACT WITH SKIN! The safety feature on this product malfunctioned dangerously and the bulb flashed at my eyes! I would give it zero stars if I could! Previous Review: I was excited to try this product as I dislike shaving and waxing, but love having smooth skin, which is I imagine how most – if not all –people feel about hair removal. No shocker there. I have pale skin and somewhat dark hair so I was optimistic about the potential results. I ignored the negative reviews rationalizing that maybe they didn't use it as instructed or had different skin/hair types. However, I should have listened to reviews that said it was a waste of time and money. If you are thinking about purchasing this product, don't. Save yourself hundreds of dollars and months wondering if maybe you just need to wait a bit longer for it to work. I read the instructions carefully and followed them exactly. I eagerly anticipated hairless legs and underarms. It's been eight months and the only spot with significantly less hair is a mark 3 cm long × 2 cm wide on my lower leg where the product burned me causing blisters. I am disheartened and disappointed, but I'm hoping my warning helps others avoid making the same mistake. Oh!     • I’m foxy brown dark and this item works for me.
This is not LASER HAIR REMOVAL, this is an IPL light hair removal. I am very dark skinned. It will only allow me to use up to the number 2 level. Does it work? I don’t know because it’s been a few weeks. I’ve had laser hair removal at ideal image and they burned my skin. I needed to keep up with my treatments and I truly believe that this item will assist me with my hair removal dreams if I keep being consistent. Amazon will allow you to send this item back if you find that it does not work for you within 30 days and more. I have seen less hair on my chin and neck. I have used it on my legs and arms and my pits, I have see longer in the days that the hair on those areas don’t get as hairy by the end of the day. I strongly feel that this will help me stay smooth and more confident with all of my hairy areas. To have control over where and when I want to try and lessen my hair is priceless. First get a full treatment of laser hair removal then use this to keep up. Dark skinned people, BUY THIS and keep going. I use mine like weekly if I have not been in the sun.     • Overall happy with the product
So I really struggled with whether or not to buy this product . The main reason I bought it what was for some embarrassing upper lip and chin hair . So far I’ve had the product for four weeks and I’ve done a treatment weekly rather than biweekly mostly bc my hair is so dark and I wanted to see if I saw a difference . I am olive skin toned with pretty dark hair. On the upper lip and chin I have definitely noticed a reduction in growth for the peach fuzzy hairs, the darker hairs are also way less noticeable than before tho not completely gone yet . On my legs I’ve noticed the hair is lighter and patchy in some areas The bikini line I haven’t noticed any reduction in growth tho the hair seems to be finer which makes it somewhat less noticeable tho this is the area I would say I noticed the least difference . I’m hoping with time it will improve . However - I am happy with the product for the first month of use since my main reason for purchasing has been improved . ... show more

Heads up! Can’t return if the motor stops working after 30 days! I’m not seeing results, it doesn’t glide the way it’s implied and although it says it can be used on lightly tanned skinned, beware, if you are too tan, it will not work. Do your homework first! Mine is already acting weird. The motor makes funny sounds and sometimes it doesn’t work. Even on lighter skin areas. I have followed directions so malfunctioning isn’t user error… #justsaying. Totally got my money’s worth. Ive had laser hair treatments done & the price I paid for one small area is the same amount as this product. I wanted to get more treatments for larger areas but wanted to find a more cost efficient solution. Also wanted something that was sensitive to dark hair on dark skin & this kind comes highly recommended and highly reviewed by several women of color. I’ve done a couple sessions in one month and the hair is noticeably growing back slower, most especially on my legs. I keep it set at a 2 since I do have darker skin, I don’t want to go too high and burn myself. Anyway, great product & if you’re looking for a comment to convince you to buy it, here it is.
