I recently bought a Cameo 4 because of its ability to cut through craft foam. The Strong Tack Cutting Mat is perfect for keeping the foam in place during cutting. I would definitely NOT use this mat for anything paper based or thin materials. They'll just tear when you try to remove them. I have not tried the mat with fabrics, but some of the tutorials I have watched concerning cutting fabric have sworn by them. The only thing I would like to see is a more durable/forgiving surface. The Kraft Blade (used to cut through thicker materials) tends to cut a bit deeper than you might want, and there are a few spot where I've nearly cut through the mat. I have not tried any off-brand mats, but these are definitely much more expensive. I personally find them to be worth the cost. ... show more

Wish I had checked this mat when I got it but I just put it on my desk until today when I needed it. This has never been taken out of the original packaging and has laid flat on my desk since I received it. This is in very poor shape but too late to return! Bought this mat as a replacement for my mother’s machine. She used it one time to cut something out and the adhesive came off with the paper so now the mat is useless.

I put my fabric on the mat and after using it one time the mat had been almost cut through and the surface was no longer sticky at all
