Description

This one-component, non sag sealant is the choice for professional-grade quality while requiring only beginner-level DIY skills. It's also elastomeric, which gives the paste a rubbery texture and enables your joints to adjust without cracking or breaking. Seal windows and door perimeters, and fill gaps in walls, trim, flashing and more. It's resistant to aging and weathering, so the Sikaflex limestone caulk always looks its best. And it's both waterproof and water immersible, enabling use in moisture-heavy environments. The final cure is complete in about a week, depending on atmospheric conditions.

Polyurethane is the hardest caulk to clean-up because it sticks phenomenally to just about anything. It also has long-life in exterior (UV, water, temperature), and is generally paintable. I particularly use this for masonry projects (which is what Sika is well-known for). It's a great product, with consistent coloring across batches. You can even apply it to pretty green/fresh concrete. Why 4/5 star? I wish it had a removable tip, which would make reuse after storage easier. I also wish the tip was shorter - it's hard to stab the metal seal when the tip is only cut to a fine point. ... show more

I appreciate how easy this is to apply and how effective of a water barrier a bead of this makes when applied where the driveway meets the basement foundation. I have used it to prevent water from rolling off the concrete slab of a driveway and then down the walls of the basement, where water makes its way into the basement interior through cracks in the foundation. I simply clean the cement with a wirebrush and vacuum up any debris, and apply sikaflex liberally. I use a wooden, coffee stirring stick to feather the bead into the driveway, on one hand, and into the cement foundation on the other. If heavily applied, you get 10 linear feet per tube. If moderately applied, 15 linear feet per tube. I reapply it every 5 years. Its a good value for it helps keep my basement dry ... show more

I've worked 30 years in construction and in that time have probably caulked a 100 miles. The large company I worked for almost used sika caulk exclusively, and I loved that product....but.... buyer beware these are not full tubes!!!! they are only about 2/3 full !!! At first I thought it was just a bad tube but all 7 tubes that I ordered are filled the same. I have never in my life seen this type of packing, I have thought seen shorter tubes but never full size only 2/3's full. Now should I run out and have to re-order, a different lot number may not exactly match in color. Shame on Sika for pulling this B.S. ... show more
