Description

Need to seal cracks in concrete, gapping in masonry, or expansion joints in roofing? This Sika construction sealant offers superior adhesion and high elasticity, and is ideal for both vertical and horizontal applications. Use it to seal cracks in concrete driveways and walls to prevent water infiltration, expansion, and further gapping. Apply it to brick, blockwork, and metal frames. It takes approximately one week to cure, and once cured, is fully paintable and waterproof. No primer required. Be sure all surfaces are clean and dry prior to application.

I bought the Sika Flex Fix to repair some cracks and external joints and it left me very impressed with the results. It is an easy-to-apply product with a standard caulker gun, it has good consistency and adheres very well to different surfaces such as concrete, stone and brick. I really liked that it is paintable, which makes it easier to leave a more aesthetic finish after drying. The limestone color combines well with light surfaces without the need to paint, if you want to leave it as it is. Another strong point is its elasticity: after drying it maintains some flexibility, ideal for areas that may have movement or expansion with climate changes. I have used it both indoors and outdoors and it has remained firm, without cracking or detaching. Very good performance per tube (10.1 oz liquid) and with a single application I achieved a clean and resistant seal. I will definitely buy it again for future projects. Used to fill a crack on my front porch step, where the brick step meets the concrete porch. First cleaned the crack out with a wire brush. Second vacuumed the remaining dust and debris. Third applied masking tape to the outside of the area to be caulked for clean lines. Fourth applied with a standard caulk gun. Fifth pushed product into crack with my finger, recommend using nitrile gloves. Sixth added more product with caulk gun. Seventh smoothed to my liking with finger. Eighth waited thirty minutes and removed masking tape. A few weeks later I’m happy with the product, thick enough to fill in the crack very well, seems flexible, color is close enough to brick mortar for my liking. ... show more

If duct tape had a smarter, stronger cousin who went to trade school and never calls out of work—it would be Sikaflex. I used this stuff to seal a gap in my foundation, and it stuck like it had a personal vendetta against air leaks. It’s thick, weatherproof, and so sticky I’m pretty sure if I dropped it on my driveway, it would become part of the driveway. It cures slow enough that you have time to fix mistakes (thanks for understanding, Sikaflex), but once it sets? Game over, that joint isn’t going anywhere. Wind, rain, time, regret—nothing breaks this bond. Word of warning: wear gloves unless you enjoy explaining to people why your hands look like you lost a fight with a tar pit. Whether you’re sealing cracks, joints, or a DIY mistake you swore you could handle alone—this stuff’s got your back. ... show more
